  1. You should have sande the primer smooth before applying. Tamiya primer is better and much thinner than Krylon.
  2. What size drill bits(number range) fit in this drill? The ability to slow it down is a good idea.
  3. Nice job. I always liked that they used Ford Cortina taillights on this car.
  4. "Rubbing is racing" is fine when racing cheap (relatively speaking) race cars but not when your racing multi million cars like F1 and LMP1 prototypes. I don't understand how drivers can put with all those caution laps.
  5. If anybody remembers our own Bill Geary built a beautiful one using the Revell SSK here is his Fotki album of it Bill Geary Jag D Type
  6. I use a 50/50 mix of set and soapy water. The soap makes the decal slide easily without tearing. It also helps it stick when dry.
  7. I built this one years ago. I think it was NITTO version.
  8. Even some modern kits have this problem. Belkits rally cars do. I covered the rims with foil before painting to protect against it. The kit has a spare tire in the interior so I had to foil all the contact points(roll cage) and area where tire lays. Luckily the tires are in their own bag so there was no kit damage.
  9. If you can find this AMT Porsche 935 it has the Martini Decals in the box. It should be pretty cheap. It is the same kit reboxed.
  10. Irealy like this Mustang that was in the race till it got caught up in a wreck.
  11. Looks pretty good. How long did it take to build?
  12. For anybody interested the 12hrs of Bathurst starts at about 2:25 PM Saturday EST. You can watch it it at NISMO TV channel on Youtube. They are showing it even though they are not running any R-35's this year. There are 96 cars on the entry list including a modern version of a Daytona Cobra Coupe. There is always a good shoot out at the finish of this race. Watch this video of Darrel Waltrip as a passenger at this track. Waltrip at Bathurst
  13. Good job Jonathan. Thanks for doing these. Keep'm coming.
  14. Thanks everybody. My next build will be this
  15. I would like to get it but Tamiya's prices are going through the roof.
  16. It's finished. See the WIP here Porsche 956 It fought me allot. At one point I broke the chassis in half. After repair the rear deck did not sit right. Overall I am pretty happy with it. On pic shows the car with no wheel covers on the front but all race pictures show covers on the front and no covers on the rear.
  17. Great looking model. Amazing for being done so quickly.
  18. Very nice model. Love it. I wish we could get some kits of the vehicles that race in the Dakar.
  19. Me too. There is a buit one on display at the Watkins Glen Library
  20. Great start. I did not know MFH made this.
  21. A great video and story from the designer about the HOWMET Turbine car. Howmet TX
  22. I added the preset handle that fits the eclipse and the evolution. It lets you set needle travel for a fixed spray like a single-action brush.
  23. The decals are done, a little touchup needed. Next is the Future and wax. I had to make the yellow stripe decals to match my yellow.
  24. The Revolution CR with the larger cup
  25. I highly recommend the Iwata Revolution, it has a .5mm tip. I have seven airbrushes but it has become my absolute workhorse airbrush.
