I got this beautiful kit from mshobbies.com at allot less that what others are charging. It has photo-etch parts and seat belt material. For some reason it comes with 2 sets of 5 tires, probably gravel or tarmac versions. In someways it is better than Tamiya's rally cars. The decal sheet is complete, just paint white and the rest is decal. the kit is Belkits Ford Fiesta WRC.

For those who like Plasikote Sandable Primer Gray(T235) and White(T237) check your local Ollie's. I got a bunch for $1.59 a can. They do have some of their other paints. Make sure you are not buying the Enamel primer, they had that too.

RoG chrome is very hard to strip cleanly. I used oven cleaner, degreaser, ammonia and alcohol first in case of clear coat. I had to use a toothpick to scrape some of it off. I was cleaning the wheels in the DTM kits. Their chrome also comes off some when just handling, it sucks in general.

I drill and pin allot so the parts stay together without glue. I also have made tabs and other mechanical ways of holding parts together without glue. I especially like a mechanical way to attach the body to the chassis without ever using glue. You can use Micro Scale Liquitape to hold stuff temporarily

A few drops of this to jar. I think Micheal's or Hobby Lobby has it.

Only rubber seals. Most of the seals in brand name(not chinese knock-offs) airbrushes are Teflon and are solvent proof. The only exception is in the air valve assemblies.

Done it many times, never a problem. Just remember you will have to trim the decal because will be a continuous carrier(clear)coat.

They do sell the 100pk at A.C. MOORE. With the coupon they are about $18.

WARNING: DO NOT soak airbrushes in ammonia for very long, It will eat the chrome finish. You are better off never soaking in ammonia. If just using acrylics soak in soap water or alcohol. If using other solvents it is better to take the air valve assembly out due to it's rubber seal, even alcohol can dry out the rubber seal. Our local art store has a warning on the airbrush case about using ammonia.

I beleive there was a 1/24version by Tilt. It had a molded in driver figure.

They aren't many pics of this car yet so it is hard to tell. The roof has a concave area in the middle that's new and the hood is different. i just love the Shell graphics.

Try using a hot damp cloth pressed over decals to set and conform them. The car below was painted white all other colors are decal. I could not have done this car without this technique. Most solvents are too strong for modern decals.
