  1. I agree about the grip. I got the one for the Tamiya trigger type and it fits perfectly.
  2. LO Look at this Procon PS-290 Same quality half the price. When you get a trigger type nothing else will be as fun to use. I have this airbrush and absolutely love it. I think the pre-order thing is a website error. I have had mine for 2 years and there are 25 reviews.. Contact them if you are interested.
  3. They also left out the inter-cooler pipes. You can also make the brake ducts but both were a PITA but they do add to the engine bay look.
  4. Another way I would try is paint the seat with a silver lacquer like TamiyaTS-30 Silver Leaf then airbrush Tamiya XF1 Flat Black acrylic over it. When dry use the Tamiya small Q-tips soaked in ammonia too carefully remove the black Ammonia will not touch the lacquer but will easily remove the acrylic. You probably could scrape off the black with toothpicks. this is also a good trick for doing BBS style wheels.
  5. This guy needs help!
  6. Using Future under the decal can glue and help the decal stick. After drying excess Future can be removed with ammonia.
  7. What did you paint the wings with?
  8. great build. Nothing looks better than a Martini.
  9. Do not go near TS36. It has known issue with cracking. It has cracked every time I used it even a test on a spoon.
  10. See this before applying those decals. Old Decals
  11. Thanks evreybody here is some more progress.
  12. It.s box stock. painting brings it to life.
  13. The quick setting is the best glue I have ever used, love it.
  14. Got some work done on this the rear section is very fiddly and fragile.
  15. Use a semigloss clear instead of a flat clear. Tamiya's TS-79 is a good choice. Testors was good too but you will not be able to get it anymore.
  16. Awesome work. Great looking chassis.
  17. Tamiya's Lacquer Thinner should be used with their paints. It's alcohol based which allot safer than cheap hardware stuff that has allot of Acetone in it. It looks like you need more thinner to get rid off that awful orange peel effect.
  18. Tomorrow is the Nurburgring 24. Should be on Youtube. Starts at 10:30 AM EST
  19. If you can find it Tamiya has that green for there 1/12 scale kit. I think it will be limited run. There is no other green that is right. The green is called Cobalt Green.
  20. Watch the alcohol, it will remove Tamiya paints.
  21. WD40 is great at removing all tape and label adhesive residue.
  22. I did nnot know spraygunner started carrying this. Note; spraygunner is in Florida, Scalehobbyist is in England. Spray gunner is great to do service with. I got my CREOS PS-290 airbrush from them .
  23. Food coloring works well with it. Remember if you don't like it comes off with ammonia which is safe on everything except Tamiya Acrylics. I have learned to wipe not brush it on.
