  1. Try Tamiya's Laquer thinner, it works with their acrylics. It's not Hardware thinner, it is more alcohols than anything else.
  2. Also the clear plastic is more brittle and breaks easier. It's hard to see for body prep without primer first.
  3. I forgot, if you cannot find the Tamiya retarder Liquitex Flow Enhancer works and I think it is available at Hobby Lobby.
  4. If you are using the Acrylic XF-16 I would use a bigger tip. The metallic particles are pretty big in that stuff. Also try some of Tamiya's retarder for the acrylics they will spray better and have less dry tip problems.
  5. A thick bot out of scale gloss coating of 2K clear is probably the only safe bet. You might do it by gluing all decals down with Future or a white PVA glue like Krystal Clear by Microsol.
  6. I use this method to because it let's you move it around to the exact position. Otherwise you have to be exactly right the first time.
  7. Your doing a great job. Allot of kits and builders omit the fuel tanks on mid-engine type cars. Yours look great. What gold are using for the suspension bits?
  8. Looks good. That is a very complex because the LMP1 cars are very complex.
  9. The 24 hrs of Spa starts at 10:30 AM EST Saturday. It's a grat race on a great track. The Good smile racing Mercedes AMG GT is on the pole. There are 72 cars. Live Stream here from Motorsport.com SPA 24 I really like this Rowe Racing Porsche 911

  12. Crazing. The lacquer etched the plasticon the roof. The rear deck looks like the paint dried before hitting the surface, sprayed to far away.
