Sizing Images for Decals
935k3 replied to StevenGuthmiller's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I have an EPSON 630. I usually get blacker images by using the text and image setting. I also set the paper to gloss not premium. I have also used the plain paper setting with good results. Make sure you are using decal paper for inkjet not laser. -
Sizing Images for Decals

What type of paper was it set to print on? Also best quality is not necessary for black and white images. I have an EPSON and it does not work on Papilio brand paper but works on all other brands. -
Thanks. The transaxle is at the rear of the car better weight distribution. The drivers seat almost in the back seat are of the street car for the same reason.

I had to start anew thread because my original wont let me edit for some reason. The chassis is done and I am getting the body ready to decal.

Your preferred gloss white

I agree with Steve, Testors being so bad got me started airbrushing long ago. I will take lacquer over enamel any day. Especially because my cars get allot of decals layed down and a rock hard lacquer finish handles better. -

Been working on this one. I used TS-40 Metallic for the carbon look. The brownish color is gold 1 to 9 parts black. There allot of mixtures called out. I did use some artistic license. The body is painted Krylon white lacquer. The red is TS-8. The silver is TS-17 overcoated with Testors wet look clear. The exhaust had an bad fitting join withe rest of pipe. I pinned and molded to one complete piece. The washes are all Tamiya black panel line accent (great stuff)

Anybody ever seen this one, I had it as a kid. The body was nice but gold plated. It was a Renwal kit.

Looking good. BTW I liked your tip about the poor man's carbon fiber TS-40 Metallic Black. I am using it for an Audi DTM I am building.

The reason Tamiya does not do more american cars is simple. The US is is only a small portion of there. The same for Japanese makers who sell allot worldwide. They do sell well . The BEMAX kit of the Lancia S4 rally car sold out immediately

Try covering the area of the wheel making contact with the tire with bare metal foil.

The trigger style is the most comfortable. They do cost more though. I have the NEO TRN1 and TRN2. I also have the Proconboy PS-290.
