  1. I use a mix of soapy water and decal set(blue bottle) on the surface where the cal will be applied. This makes it very easy to move around.
  2. I have been using their metallics. They are great and very durable. They are suppose to be coming out with a car color line.
  3. That is about it. It is better if you can airbrush it.
  4. That window is a fantastic improvement. Where do you get your Tamiya polish? Tamiya America has not listed it for years and no hobby shops have it.
  5. Could not agree more. We are building models not real cars. Matt's original post was about making it look like the stuff, not about the technology or what it is used for.I would rather see posts that contribute to model building than posts that go on about how much we know.
  6. I had this problem with old monogram decals. It was actually the glue turned milky. I washed it of the back of the decals .I applied them and they still stuck well. Monogram had some very crappy decals back then.
  7. Here is the handle for the PS290 Creos 290 handle.
  8. Fantastic job on one of my favorite rally cars.
  9. Thanks to all.
  10. This one is done.. WIP is here Porsche 934
  11. I think some of it scale measuring. Sometimes the measurement is right but just not look right in scale. Also somebody said and is right the tires don't have the weighted radial bulge as on a real car. I adjust all my cars so they look right. An important to look at space between the top of the tire and the fender opening. on some race cars there is no gap and the tire is covered by the fender opening. Porsche's 935 is a good example of that.
  12. Wher can you buy metal hangers. I have not seen any in stores for many years now.
  13. Really good looking model. Your models are always great and realistic looking. Keep up the good work.
  14. Snake you might look into this stuff. Walmart has it.
  15. Interior painted in Mr. Surfacer 1500 with airbrush. I made a template to lay over the decal for gauges so just the gauges would be glossy. had to make a turbo boost as there is none in the kit. I added some better engine pics too.
  16. Yes.
  17. Looks great Steve. I would use thinned PVA carefully brushed.
  18. I think they may look different because of the color of the spray can lid under the paint.
  19. This is a curbside but the bottom of the engine looks good when painted(allot of masking. Paint used for the body and chassis was TS-98 Pure Orange Kit shocks and springs were replaced. I used 30 ga wire for the springs. There no tire markings included. I used Indycals Porsche 956 decals. Alclad Pale Gold used for the spokes on the BBS rims.
  20. You will love the trigger action. As you pull back you will get air then the paint cuts in gets wider as you pull back.
  21. Dave I would not use any high build as it will cover details
  22. Allot of clears look like that but go on clear. I believe that is the old gloscote. That stuff was more a shellac than lacquer and thins with denatured alcohol. Try using Wet look clear instead, it can be thinned with Tamiya Lacquer Thinner.
