  1. Note: the new stuff says enamel. I was able to stock some of the old stuff at $1 at clearance store a few years ago. Enamel does not make a good primer because it tears more then feather edges when sanding. I would not touch enamel for primer any day. Duplicolor is good but it is much hotter, the sanding sealer especially so.
  2. Try Tamiya TS-79 semigloss clear and TS80 clear flat. They are a much more durable finish for handling.

    BMW

Revell of Germany BMW DTM. Just finished this in December. The fit is not bad but there is allot of sink marks and cleanup compared to Tamiya. The decals are excellent.
  4. Sounds like an American V8(Corvette) Toyota Supra GT
  5. The way did the wheels with the separate black insert and the chrome is amazing.
  6. Humbrol has a line of Acrylic sprays.
  7. Excellent, I am looking forward to building mine.
  8. I would use Alclad White Aluminium or Tamiya TS-30 Silver Leaf (airbrushed)
  9. Cruz your models always look good. I really like your vinyl tops.
  10. Looking good! I wonder what color this car is. Tamiya instructions just say "body color". A Japanese video build I saw, the car was a very, very dark green.

    IMSA Mustangs

the mustangs were rebodied Zakspeed Capris.
  12. Tamiya TS-21 is Gold
  13. Nice job so far. I built this kit and found no need to paint red areas on the body as the decals fit perfectly.
  14. There have been allot of issues with orders from Gravity paints. Google it.
  15. Another issue I have had with spoons is some hot paints craze them and this makes it impossible to see how the lay down.
  16. Mozilla Firefox, Adblock Plus, clear history on exit = none of the above.
  17. Nice work so far except the seats are way to shiny. They would look better with some semi-gloss clear.
  18. Lacquer thinner would be good and safe on metal.
  19. Tamiya USA website says it is not available. It looks great but is known to have issues with cracking. It cracked on me but didn't show until months after the car was built and I am afraid to use it again.
  20. adhesive is good. Google it.
  21. Try 1/64" drafting tapes. The crepe type is more flexible around bends. I used it around the BMF on the window trim on this BMW
  22. Future also can be applied in smaller areas with a Q-tip
  23. If it is lacquer 91% alcohol will strip it but not the primer. Super Clean should work on the primer.
