  1. NO! I'm blind after seeing that! Scott
  2. Love those Maverick based Comets. Especially the '71 and '72 GT version. Scott
  3. This morning I had to take my old cat, Asparagus, "Gus" into the vet to be put to sleep. The old guy had not been doing well for a while now. But, he really went down hill in the last 36 hours. He lived a good life. He made it to 18-1/2 years of age. I loved the little guy. He will be missed. Bless you Gus. Your in God's hands now. And thank you for being part of my life for 18-1/2 years. Scott
  4. There is a reason we keep on reading old authors like Poe, and others. They're great still! Scott
  5. I'm with you on the "bay-window" buses. I'd buy one. Scott
  6. How much info on the Mark IIIs in the above book? And looking at the different GT-40s posted here, especially the Mark IIs, it looks like I did the right thing in buying the Revell/Fujimi kit. Scott
  7. Hey Mark welcome to the forum. Very cool builds. With the latest release of the Corvair kit, my plan is to buy your Sport Sedan body from Modelhaus. I don't need to add another Sport Coupe to my collection. And after 4-door convertibles, my next favorite body style in most any car is a 4-door Hardtop. And only Corvair offered an American 4-door hardtop in their compact line (I do not consider the '56 - '60 Rambler hardtops true compacts). Scott
  8. Very nice. That generation Imperial has always been kind of a kitsch. Despite that, I've always like them. Scott
  9. Who makes the best 1/24th scale kit of a Toyota 2000GT? I assume Hasegawa. I don't care one way or another if it's a curbside, or has an engine. And, can any of the 2000GT kits be built portraying the car with left hand drive? Scott
  10. Love the Toyota 2000GT. Anyone know much about this model? Scott
  11. That last one's an old classic Harry. But still a good one. Scott
  12. Heck, I and everybody else in our local model car club just use cotton balls to apply "Future". No need for dipping or spraying it on with an airbrush. Just wipe it on with a cotton ball. It's simple and works great! Scott
  13. Got my Revell GT-40 Mk II kit in the mail yesterday. On opening it up, it is obvious that it's the Fujimi kit. Molded in white. Very nice kit. Looks like it will be easy and fun to build. Scott
  14. A lot of you are excited by the 918. I wish Revell would give us a 917 instead. Make it a '70 917K. Gulf-Porsche livery. Scott
  15. Another great review (other than the few small mistakes already pointed out). Again I like your YouTube reviews. But again, another kit I will not be buying because it can not be built as the stock version of the car. I'd love to see Round 2, or anybody else for that matter, give us a "showroom stock" version of the '70 or '71 Cyclone. Like MPC did in the day, before this version of the kit was first offered. Scott
  16. Cool car. Too rich for my blood. Even if I had the money. Scott
  17. Great job, and neat to see. Scott
  18. Chris that is one great reveiw on this kit. By the way, I like your enthusiasm. Model building should be fun. And it is a fun model. Despite your great review, or maybe because of it, I again will not be adding this kit to my collection. I'm not a big fan of custom vans. Especially 4-wheel drive vans. Still it's a great review. Good job of showing us most everything. I think you may have missed showing us the clear parts. But who cares. You showed us enough to get a good feel for the kit. If your other reviews are this good, I may have subscribe. Thank you. Scott
  19. Very nice. And your partly right, the color helps make the kit. But you did a nice job beyond that too. Scott
  20. I'm aware that's old. It still can't hurt to ask. Got my Revell GT-40 #2 in the mail today. Only three day after winning it on eBay. Very quick shipping. Opened the box. Looks like a great kit. Scott
  21. I got the Revell (Fujimi) Ford GT-40 #2 I order off of eBay already. Won it Sunday. Got it today. From Youngstown, OH to Minneapolis, MN in only 3 days. Pretty quick. It was a sealed kid. I unsealed it. Very nice looking kit. And for sure the Fujimi kit in a Revell box. A good way to get a Fujimi kit. It was a bit cheaper in price being a Revell box. Any how.... Nice kit kit. Looks like it will be a nice build. Scott
  22. My nomination for best model of 2014 maybe Mongram's Slingster. A fun and cool total redo of the old classic Sizzler kit. But, no parts can interchange between the new and old kit. The new version is scaled down to a true 1/25th scale. I may have been happy with the chance to buy a reissue of the original. But, I'm really happy and impressed that Revell went and redid this kit. It was by far the biggest surprise to me in the last year. Scott P.S. I think my nomination meets all the criteria above, but I don't really understand why there should be so many restrictions. I'd like to hear everyone's view. Even if it's not something I agree with.
  23. Was talking with a co-worker today about the fact that she grew up in Hibbing, MN. The home town of Bob Dylan, and were they mine a lot of iron ore. A area referred to by most Minnesotans as the "Iron Range." So I said to her, "Oh your one of those Iron Strangers (rather than the "normal" Iron Ranger). She said, "Yup. But now I'm De-Ranged. I had never heard that one before. Man, I kind of wish I was from the Range, so I could use that joke. Scott
  24. Another great one Tulio. But, I expect nothing less from you. Even on non Ford models. Scott
