  1. Very cool! I like it. But, are you telling me hover cars were not invented in the 30's. Darn! Scott
  2. Ya know, I love women. So any car that turns them on is okay with me. Scott
  3. Opel Manta. A stunning good looking car. Late 60's/early 70's Mercedes 600 (126" wb sedan), 300 SEL 6.3, 280 SE 4.5 convertible, and 280 SL. Scott
  4. No! Not '32 Ford! Scott
  5. What time did the dentist make your appointment for? Tooth hurty. Scott
  6. They don't need to do anything, other than reissue it. Scott
  7. Do we yet know for sure this is being done by Moebius? I hope so. And if so, do they have the dies for other old Jo-Han kits? Scott
  8. Very nice! I too like the paint. If you would have described the color choice without showing it. I would have questioned it. But, see is believing. And works. Scott
  9. Again, as I noted before, a very nice build. But, I've gotten suckered into looking at this one again because you posted it as VW cabriolet. And I keep thinking, "I don't remember seeing a model of a VW cabriolet?" To me a VW cabriolet is a different car. A VW Cabriolet is what Volkswagen called the Golf Mk I/Rabbit convertible in the US after the other Golf body styles moved on to the Mk II version. What you have built is a VW Beetle cabriolet/convertible. Not just a VW "cabriolet." Scott
  10. This one is a mystery to me. As Luc above points out, AMT and Revell did not do a model of the Capri Mk I. In fact until his above posting, I didn't know that anybody made a Capri Mk I in 1/24th or 1/25th scale. And there is the mystery. Capri Mk I were a big hit in real life. Sold like hot cakes everywhere. So where are the models of cars? Make mine a US spec '72 with the V6. I'd also love to see a Saab 96 and a late 60's Cortina GT. Scott
  11. Just watched an old TV commercial for the Texan. According to that commercial the Texan was only available in the "Lonestar State." I guess that answers that. Scott
  12. YES! Scott
  13. That's my understanding too. He maybe having a hard time cashing those royalty checks now days. Scott
  14. A local hobby store, as of today, has these on the shelves now. Scott
  15. Saw the kit in a local hobby store today. But, I did not pick one up. Scott
  16. I'd have to do some research, but I thought the Texan was only available in Texas. And not nation wide like the La Femme. I could be wrong about that. Need to do more research on that. I just pull Thomas McPhersons's book, The Dodge Story. And it is not clear at a first glance using that book, if the Texan was available nation wide or not. Scott
  17. Iacocca was involved with both Mustang II and the '79 platform Mustang. He was let go from Ford just before the '79 Mustang was shown. There was early promotional materials done with Iacocca and the car. Needless to say this material never went public. By the way Ken (Reed), the first gen Granadas and Monarchs, and the LTDs were not Fox platform cars. The '78 Fairmonts and Zephyr were the first two cars based on the Fox platform. Scott
  18. Beautiful model. But, $850!? Not worth it to me. Even if I had the money. Scott
  19. The 1955 and 1956 Dodge La Femme. A car designed specifically for women. A $143.30 option for the Dodge Custom Royal Lancer. La Femme came with a Heather Rose over Sapphire White two-tone paint job. A matching interior. Matching umbrella, purse, rain hat, lipstick, and other special accessories. Plus La Femme badging. If there is any car that's a "girls" car, this is it. The problem is, the "girls"/women weren't all that interested in the package. It did not sell well, and fairly rare today. Scott
  20. Your in trouble Chris. And that reminds me. I mentioned this in another thread here. When I got new license plates for my Buick this spring, I randomly got a plate with the numbers 333 on them. Does this now mean I'm half evil? By the way, no snow in Minnesnowa yet. Yay! Scott
  21. Okay, there is 4 minutes of my life I'll never get back. That wasn't scary. It was just plain boring. 4 minutes looking at the same picture with no change. I was waiting to see something pop up and try to scare me near the end. Nothing. This one just plain sucks! In fact it even pisses me off a bit, be put through that. Scott
  22. Sorry. Scott
  23. It's cold enough for snow. But, thankfully none so far. Scott
  24. The Monster Mash is still the best Halloween song ever. Thanks Bobby "Boris" Pickett. Scott
