  1. Another pretty good film. Until the liquor store robbery and chase. That's were the story became unbelievable. Like the cops would have ever believed, much less let the kids help chase down the robber. Beyond that, I liked it. Again, working with teenagers like I do today, I get a kick out of seeing that teenagers really have not changed all that much in nearly 65 years. And how much we older folks still do not understand them at times. Scott
  2. Does anybody know what the status is on this kit? When was it last release? Any chance it could be reissued in the future? Etc? I've got a thing about '32 "Deuse" kits. Scott
  3. Cool film. I love these sappy juvenile delinquent films from the 30's, 40's, and 50's. Some how the parents were always partly to blame in them. It also shows that kids were not always angels back in the good old days. Despite what we've been told. There were stupid and bad kids, and even adults back in the day. That's why movies like these were made. And working with teens like I do today, there are still some kids that do stupid and bad things. But like then, most of kids today are really okay. By the way, I found it interesting that these kids were being portrayed as being 16. That means they would have been born in 1930. My father was born in 1928. My mother in 1935. Makes one think. Kids defying there parents and other adults? We were told kids didn't act that way when they were kids. Obviously some did, or where did they get ideas for films like this. Like it's been said, "the more things change, the more they stay the same." And, "the good old days, were not always so good." This movie is no Rebel Without a Cause. But it's not that bad either. I will watch it again some day. Scott
  4. You know, I almost dated a psychic once. But she dropped me before we met. - Scott
  5. Looks good. And it's cool that its a 4-door. Scott
  6. The last time I tryed being invisible man for Halloween, I got arrested after taking off all my clothes. I don't know how they saw me? I was sure that's all Claude Rains did in the movie to become invisible. Scott
  7. Unfair! Temps here have recently dropped like a stone. We won't be seeing many convertibles, Buick or other wise, with the tops down in the near future. Scott
  8. I have no shame Scott
  9. 1970 - 1973 Formula for me. That's what I want. Scott
  10. I can assume you custom ordered the plates (I know it's a dump question, but I have ask). By the way I was tickled when my car came up for new plates this spring. The numbers on the plate, which they gave me randomly, are 333. I keep wondering if this means I'm only half evil? Scott
  11. What's strange about it? Scott
  12. Years ago, Nissan had come up this a new car, and could not come with a decent name for it. So they called up their friends at Volkwagen in Germany for some advice. The Germans though they might be able to help. But asked how soon do you need the name? The Japanesse designers indicated that they need the name by Friday. The Germans replied, "Dat soon!?" - Scott
  13. Very nice. I like it. Scott
  14. Very good info above Mike. Except one thing. Corsa was not an option. It was listed as seperate model in the Corvair line, like the 500 and the Monza, in '65 and '66. Plus, a quick way to tell a Corsa from the lower level Corvairs. The 500s and Monzas have a body colored painted back panel around the taillights. Corsa has what I believe to be an anodized aluminum panel in same area. Scott
  15. Any pictures of the Pontiacs? Scott
  16. Hey didn't your mom warn you, "You make faces like that, it will stick permanently?" I heard several adults, when I was a kid warning us kids about that. Little did I know it was true until I saw your picture here Chris! What we weren't told, is this would only happen on film! Little did we know. Now with cameras on cell phones and everyplace else, it's can be more true today than ever before! Bewere kids. Scott
  17. AMT's Hindenberg model I recently picked up comes with a "Made in the USA" Lindberg sticker on it. And price is quite reasonable. I'm happy to see some of these kit being produced back here in the good old USofA. Scott
  18. Yea the bit about looking for sponsors to pay for moving him back to the states raises some flags for me. Using the above link, I didn't notice from where he located now. Maybe if I hit the other links on that page I'd find out. But, just reading the one page hold me everything I needed to know about this guy. Thankfully I have no desire to add an Uncertain T to collection. Scott (Aho)
  19. Sweet! Scott
  20. The following was told to me by a 5th grader while I was doing lunchroom duty today. What do you call a bear with no teeth? A "gummi" bear. I like that one. Scott
  21. Yea, but will the hood fit other Beetle kits? Because, other than the hood, I have no interest in that kit. Scott
