  1. I'd have to do some research, but I thought the Texan was only available in Texas. And not nation wide like the La Femme. I could be wrong about that. Need to do more research on that. I just pull Thomas McPhersons's book, The Dodge Story. And it is not clear at a first glance using that book, if the Texan was available nation wide or not. Scott
  2. Iacocca was involved with both Mustang II and the '79 platform Mustang. He was let go from Ford just before the '79 Mustang was shown. There was early promotional materials done with Iacocca and the car. Needless to say this material never went public. By the way Ken (Reed), the first gen Granadas and Monarchs, and the LTDs were not Fox platform cars. The '78 Fairmonts and Zephyr were the first two cars based on the Fox platform. Scott
  3. Beautiful model. But, $850!? Not worth it to me. Even if I had the money. Scott
  4. The 1955 and 1956 Dodge La Femme. A car designed specifically for women. A $143.30 option for the Dodge Custom Royal Lancer. La Femme came with a Heather Rose over Sapphire White two-tone paint job. A matching interior. Matching umbrella, purse, rain hat, lipstick, and other special accessories. Plus La Femme badging. If there is any car that's a "girls" car, this is it. The problem is, the "girls"/women weren't all that interested in the package. It did not sell well, and fairly rare today. Scott
  5. Your in trouble Chris. And that reminds me. I mentioned this in another thread here. When I got new license plates for my Buick this spring, I randomly got a plate with the numbers 333 on them. Does this now mean I'm half evil? By the way, no snow in Minnesnowa yet. Yay! Scott
  6. Okay, there is 4 minutes of my life I'll never get back. That wasn't scary. It was just plain boring. 4 minutes looking at the same picture with no change. I was waiting to see something pop up and try to scare me near the end. Nothing. This one just plain sucks! In fact it even pisses me off a bit, be put through that. Scott
  7. Sorry. Scott
  8. It's cold enough for snow. But, thankfully none so far. Scott
  9. The Monster Mash is still the best Halloween song ever. Thanks Bobby "Boris" Pickett. Scott
  10. Why is Halloween a hillbillies favorite holiday? It's the one night when it's okay to pumpkin. Scott
  11. I can't remeber if I've told this one before or not. I don't think I did. A doctor reaches behind his ear to grab his pen to write out prescription. Instead of a pen, he comes up with a recital thermometer. He looks at it and says, "Dam* some a**holes got my pen." Scott
  12. Sorry to say. But, whoopdy do. This does nothing for me. Scott
  13. The old Revell 1/32nd scale kit is pretty nice. Other than the lack of glass. Scott
  14. My nickname a our local model car club was "Sunkist". Because no matter what I did with enamel canned spay paint I got orange peel. I've switched over to lacquer paint and my orange peel went away. But not totally the nickname. It still comes up. "Sunkist" Scott
  15. Is the kit any good? Scott
  16. This movie wouldn't down load for me using the link above. So I can not comment on it. Scott
  17. Actually Mary's '70 Mustang was shown a few times in episodes. Including one where it was wrecked (by Rhoda I beleive?) and replaced by a new '73 Mustang. Scott
  18. I dislike the car. But, I appreciate the job you did on this model. It looks great (for what it is). Scott
  19. Very nice. Or as they'd say Kool! Scott
  20. Ah, you beat me to it Robert. I too agree, it's a very nice model. But, as Robert above noted, it a '67. Not a '66. Scott
  21. Good point Tom, about the first Mustangs being "girls" cars. A lot ads were aim at young female, single, secretary types. That was one of the reasons for Mustangs success. It was a car designed though options to be just about anything to anybody. A lot of early Mustangs were plain 6-cylinder, 2-coupes. Not the exciting GTs or Shelbys we all lust after today. The Mustang IIs were the same way, other than the lack of 60's style performance. But, this was true for most so called "performance" cars at the time. The Mustang II deserves more respect than it gets. Scott
  22. '70 is my favorite year for the second gen Charger too. I would love to see Revell do a '70 Charger R/T (please no sunroof like suggested above). At the same time, I'd be happy to see Round 2 reissue the old MPC Kit. Scott
