  1. Why is Halloween a hillbillies favorite holiday? It's the one night when it's okay to pumpkin. Scott
  2. I can't remeber if I've told this one before or not. I don't think I did. A doctor reaches behind his ear to grab his pen to write out prescription. Instead of a pen, he comes up with a recital thermometer. He looks at it and says, "Dam* some a**holes got my pen." Scott
  3. Sorry to say. But, whoopdy do. This does nothing for me. Scott
  4. The old Revell 1/32nd scale kit is pretty nice. Other than the lack of glass. Scott
  5. My nickname a our local model car club was "Sunkist". Because no matter what I did with enamel canned spay paint I got orange peel. I've switched over to lacquer paint and my orange peel went away. But not totally the nickname. It still comes up. "Sunkist" Scott
  6. Is the kit any good? Scott
  7. This movie wouldn't down load for me using the link above. So I can not comment on it. Scott
  8. Actually Mary's '70 Mustang was shown a few times in episodes. Including one where it was wrecked (by Rhoda I beleive?) and replaced by a new '73 Mustang. Scott
  9. I dislike the car. But, I appreciate the job you did on this model. It looks great (for what it is). Scott
  10. Very nice. Or as they'd say Kool! Scott
  11. Ah, you beat me to it Robert. I too agree, it's a very nice model. But, as Robert above noted, it a '67. Not a '66. Scott
  12. Good point Tom, about the first Mustangs being "girls" cars. A lot ads were aim at young female, single, secretary types. That was one of the reasons for Mustangs success. It was a car designed though options to be just about anything to anybody. A lot of early Mustangs were plain 6-cylinder, 2-coupes. Not the exciting GTs or Shelbys we all lust after today. The Mustang IIs were the same way, other than the lack of 60's style performance. But, this was true for most so called "performance" cars at the time. The Mustang II deserves more respect than it gets. Scott
  13. '70 is my favorite year for the second gen Charger too. I would love to see Revell do a '70 Charger R/T (please no sunroof like suggested above). At the same time, I'd be happy to see Round 2 reissue the old MPC Kit. Scott
  14. Another pretty good film. Until the liquor store robbery and chase. That's were the story became unbelievable. Like the cops would have ever believed, much less let the kids help chase down the robber. Beyond that, I liked it. Again, working with teenagers like I do today, I get a kick out of seeing that teenagers really have not changed all that much in nearly 65 years. And how much we older folks still do not understand them at times. Scott
  15. Does anybody know what the status is on this kit? When was it last release? Any chance it could be reissued in the future? Etc? I've got a thing about '32 "Deuse" kits. Scott
  16. Cool film. I love these sappy juvenile delinquent films from the 30's, 40's, and 50's. Some how the parents were always partly to blame in them. It also shows that kids were not always angels back in the good old days. Despite what we've been told. There were stupid and bad kids, and even adults back in the day. That's why movies like these were made. And working with teens like I do today, there are still some kids that do stupid and bad things. But like then, most of kids today are really okay. By the way, I found it interesting that these kids were being portrayed as being 16. That means they would have been born in 1930. My father was born in 1928. My mother in 1935. Makes one think. Kids defying there parents and other adults? We were told kids didn't act that way when they were kids. Obviously some did, or where did they get ideas for films like this. Like it's been said, "the more things change, the more they stay the same." And, "the good old days, were not always so good." This movie is no Rebel Without a Cause. But it's not that bad either. I will watch it again some day. Scott
  17. You know, I almost dated a psychic once. But she dropped me before we met. - Scott
  18. Looks good. And it's cool that its a 4-door. Scott
  19. The last time I tryed being invisible man for Halloween, I got arrested after taking off all my clothes. I don't know how they saw me? I was sure that's all Claude Rains did in the movie to become invisible. Scott
  20. Unfair! Temps here have recently dropped like a stone. We won't be seeing many convertibles, Buick or other wise, with the tops down in the near future. Scott
