kilrathy10 replied to ibj40's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Not yet, but I did acquire all the material I need to make a Mini 5 car hauler for it... After I finish my ALF fire engine, I'm going to turn to on that one!! Be watching for the thread... I'll probably be starting on it while awaiting paint to dry on the boom... -

Definitely, excellent work done... These are remarkable... Beautiful... I want to buy a1/14 scale Freightliner Cascadia from Tamiya, so bad, I can't stand it!!! However!! Just as Roger "Plowboy" alluded to, just too expensive... Just a basic setup would cost me about a thousand US dollars... Can't do it... But I do really love RC!!! I'd love to participate... ? These are very nice builds... -

Man, that looks AWESOME!!! I love how you ran the side pipes through the body work... That looks too cool and flawless... -
This is an unusual one, but I've seen a few Alphas around town in one guise or another.... Not this one, but they seem to have a bit of a following, here on this side of the pond....

I got a little more done over the past few days... I repainted the diamond plate on the body, getting rid of the unsightly brush streaks from my first lazy attempt, and I was able to finally get the outriggers assembled and installed....(Those were a serious pain in the neck) Also, as I had feared, the engine was a little too far back, so an adjustment was made, and now the body sits nicely where it should.... I was, also, able to get the base for the boom painted and assembled... I figure it would be easier to attach the base, first before I install the rest of the boom assembly... I put the wheels on, too... That was my favorite part... ? Here's some pics.... -

Definitely, looks good... Every once in a while, Jada puts out something that you just can't pass up..Whether they're oversized or undersized, (they never seem to know what scale they want to do) (as long as it fits in the box) I've found myself buying them... Some of them are REALLY good models...
