  1. Who does GM think they are? Monsanto?
  2. Bridgetown and Tammie's hobbies
  3. Yes I've bought many kits on impulse that I probably won't build, but they're still bitchin' kits and I like having them.
  4. If Starsky and Hutch drove a '78 Ford Fiesta
  5. Cool! I'm gonna try that sometime.
  6. Okay, I'll bite... how did you do that? Heat/bend clear sprue?
  7. Good advice. I might add that in the absence of a polishing wheel setup, Mother's Billet polish will work well once the metal is at 2,000 grit. Before: After:
  8. Tamiya motorcycle kits are the best, they present a high level of detail opportunities just building them box-stock
  9. I got a bagged (no box) but otherwise complete Revell 1/8 "Freedom Chopper" for $10 yesterday
  10. Eagle 1 etching mag wheel cleaner will remove the oxidation, but will dull the polished finish, requiring repolishing. I'd try some Simichrome polish.
  11. Pretty cool! You may enjoy this as well.
  12. Yes, that's the one you want. Avoid DAL1695.
  13. I saw this at a Ford meet a few years back- the driver got out of the car in full Road Warrior regalia, including a fake leg brace
  14. Not if you anneal it first by heating it until it's cherry-red, then immediately quenching it in water. That makes brass "dead-soft" and very easy to bend. Cool build btw.
  15. Some 70% alcohol (usually labeled as "rubbing alcohol") contains lanolin and/or fragrance, you want to make sure you don't get the stuff with lanolin if you decide to go the alcohol route.
  16. I saw the Eagles at the LA Forum in 1971 when they opened for Yes and Black Sabbath They played "Iron Man"
  17. I bought several packages of Line-o-tape at a yard sale for a buck- among the packages was a roll of 1/64" chrome tape, man that stuff is skinny!
  18. I had my LHS order me some DM "standard" plug wire that's advertised as being .012" and it's only .010", which is noticeably underscaled as plug wiring.
  19. When did this turn into a "let's bash Neil for his ideology" thread?
  20. The lead singer looks like he just rolled out of bed
  21. A gravity-feed brush is definitely the easiest to clean up- I just spray some carb cleaner in the cup and blow it out. Also, if you want to do a fade or gradient (ghost flames perhaps) you can just add a drop of color to the cup and stir it up with a toothpick and you're ready to go.
  22. That song was banned in Spain.
  23. Tamiya Titanium Gold is an almost perfect match.
