    Ford gt 40

Man, I wish I could pull off such a great build in only a week! Very nice work, Tim. I'm also interested in which kit this is.
  3. Thanks a lot guys! I had forgotten to mention that I also spaced the tires out closer to the fenders as well.
  4. It's been a long time coming, but I finally got something finished this year. It's been a long time coming for me to build this kit, too. My parents bought it for me way back when it was first released and I was something like 11 or 12 years old, and it's been lurking in the stash ever since. Needless to say, I think it came out better now than if I had built it back then Lol! I added AMT pad printed redline tires, added a correct air cleaner from the Revell 67 GTX, and scratched some torque boxes for the chassis. The rear suspension was raised a tad as well. I wanted my Hemi Runner in a subtle, unassuming color, so I decided on Tamiya TS-61 Nato Green. The color is a little darker than the pictures show. I cleared it with some Testors Glosscote laquer, and then polished it out with Meguiars Scratch X. And yes, those are the clunky kit supplied tail lights, I just went with them and paint detailed them the best I could. I wish the pictures showed it better and hadn't washed them out, but I used Testors dark red from the little bottle on the tail lights and it looks really good IMO. Oh yeah, and the poor exhaust tips were ditched and some aluminum tubing took their place.
  5. This is simply incredible, outstanding work Marcos! Easily one of the best, if not the best, builds of this kit I've ever seen.
  6. Well done! One of my favorite warbirds too.
  7. Wow, that is one classy ride! Great job on that oh-so-fun black paint, and the interior is killer too. Well done, Kevin!
  8. Beautifully done! I have to say I'm a bit jealous as I'd love to have one of these in my collection. Always been a big fan of this era Grand Prix.
  9. I agree, been down that road myself a few times. Very sharp build, love the look of the Keystones on it.
  10. Haha no worries! Thanks Kevin, I'm sure you'll do the Daytona justice when you build yours.
  11. Wisconsin, the land of beer, cheese, and serial killers
  12. Thanks again guys. The tires came from the F150 Raptor snap kit.
  13. Sure, there's a lot of 'em out there, but I never get tired of looking at them. Your's is no exception, very well done. I've got one waiting in the pile, too.
  14. This was already a great build, but that conversion puts it over the top. Well done, Randy!
  15. That is beautiful!
  16. I don't think I've posted any of mine yet, so here are a few of my best attempts.
  17. That looks super!
  18. Very nice, Randy. It's not easy making those kits look good, but you sure did a great job of it. One of the best I've seen.
  19. Thanks Paul. It's the Revellogram kit. However, this issue does not include the Trans Am scripts on the decal sheet. For those, you would need to pick up the first issue of the kit by Monogram (from 1991 I believe, and where I got mine) or I think Keith Marks has them as well.
  20. Casey's method is exactly what I did when I added chrome trim for the deluxe two-tone on my '79 Bronco. I ended up doing it in three pieces. One long strip along the bottom, one for the vertical in the rear, and a short, wider strip for the small amount behind the rear marker light. Luckily there was no black on that trim on the 1:1 so it made it much easier. I'm not sure the best way to tackle that aspect of the trim you'll be replicating, that's a tough one and wish I could help some. When you're comfortable with adding the trim to the body, just make sure to take it nice and slow with patience, and success with follow.
  21. Very nice. Great decal work, I've heard the ones for the roof can be a bit problematic.
  22. Thanks guys. I'll be the first to admit that none of them are perfect though, Lol. I draw inspiration from all you great fellow modelers out there, and I have to thank you all for that! For my photographs, I use a Nikon P510. Nothing really fancy, but it gets the job done rather well.
  23. Man, I'd love to have a year like you did, quality AND quantity. Very nice builds!
  24. That is a great crop of builds, Bernard. I really like the Little Feather fueler. I've been wanting to broaden my range of themes as well, but really haven't accomplished it yet lol, maybe someday.
