  1. She's coming along nicely, Mike. Nice work on that wiring, and looking forward to more updates.
  2. Chassis is looking real sharp Mike, keep it up!
  3. Beautiful build Carl! That Hemi Orange is smokin' hot on this. Well done!
  4. Sweet build, clean and sharp. Just the way I like 'em. These kits are fairly basic but build up and display well, as shown with yours.
  5. Very sharp build. How do you like the Krylon Short Cuts clear? I've been curious about it.
  6. I think the color fits the car very well, and a great smooth finish to it as well. Very well built! ?
  7. Thanks so much guys!
  8. Great work so far Tim. Thanks for the heads-up on the decals. I've got the Motorcraft livery ones, but almost went with these instead. Maybe if I get another one of these Mustangs...
  9. Will be watching, Mike. Heard a lot of great things about this kit. It's great there's little to no mold lines on the body. ? I've picked up one of these pony's up as well and it's towards the top of the "to do" list. And a bonus, I had ordered the Motorcraft livery decals from Indycals and they were in my mailbox today. ?
  10. Thanks a lot. I used Duplicolor DSGM302 Light Blue Metallic for the interior. I'm not sure if they still make it as it's a pretty old can I've got (almost empty too ?). For the roof, first was a coat of Rustoleum textured paint (mine happens to be dark pewter) followed by a couple coats of Krylon Satin Black, finally topped with a coat of Testors flat clear lacquer as the satin black had quite a bit of gloss to it. Many thanks guys, glad you like it.
  11. This beautiful Boss 302 was just down the road from my place at the local restaurant/bar. You don't see 'em with a Vermillion interior often. And this 392 Challenger was at a restaurant in town.
  12. That's one beautiful Edsel! Love the subtle colors. Well done!
  13. This is my first completion of the year. Back in February I moved into a new place (even though only a couple miles from where I previously was) so that took up a lot of my time getting settled and all the last several months. Got a spare room now that I can dedicate to a model cave. ? Anyways, I had started this one back in December but hadn't touched it since sometime in January, and finally got around to working on it again here in the last few weeks. I'm calling this one a "factory freak" of sorts since it has the W-30 goodies but I decided to leave the chrome trim and vinyl top on. Paint is Tamiya TS-58 Pearl Light Blue. An interesting color as when photographing it at different angles the camera really changed the shade of it at times. It was a pretty straight forward build, only adding spark plug wires, and swapping in some parts box tires with Fireball Modelworks lettering decals. Oh yeah, aluminum tubing for the exhaust tips too. I wasn't too happy with some of the gaps around the bumper ends, but came up a little empty on any fixes. Overall it's a pretty well engineered kit that went together well.
  14. Outstanding build, Marcos! That two tone is a perfect choice, and so shiny & smooth. Again, well done! ? I have the conversion kit ordered through Fireball as well and waiting patiently until the day comes when I can get cracking at this. I only hope mine turns out half as good as yours.
  15. I agree with everyone else, a sharp build indeed.
  16. Wow that is really nice! Looks great in white. It's on my "someday" list too.
  17. Beautifully done, these do build up rather well and your's proves that point.
  18. Beautiful paint, Carl! And one of my favorite Ford's to boot. Nice clean work as always.
  19. I was hoping to get a few more than five done this year but it's better than none. Hope everyone has a happy and safe new year!
  20. Looks good, Tim! Like it with the white interior.
  21. Thanks guys! I had bought this kit probably around 15 years ago at Walmart. The price tag was still on the box....$16.97. Thanks Snake. In a coincidence, I too have a Cougar Eliminator in "Calypso Coral" that I built a number of years ago. For this one I sprayed it with plain old Testors Bright Red. I think it too is a fairly close match. I totally agree with you Rex. I have the yellow version of that Mach 1.
  22. After finishing up my '67 Mustang, I was coming up with blanks in figuring out what to build next. So, this had caught my eye while rummaging through the stash and thought it might make for a good quick, painless build while continuing to figure out what the next project would be. The body is pre-painted in what is very close (in my eyes) to Calypso Coral, one of my favorite FoMoCo colors. The mirrors and rear valance were unpainted and molded in black, so I paint matched them the best I could with Model Master Hugger Orange over a white basecoat. Under the hood the kit does not supply a radiator hose or a power steering pump, so I plucked those from my spare parts box. The exhaust tips I drilled out too for a much better appearance. It was a fun and simple kit to throw together, now on to an Olds....... Thanks for looking and any comments or questions.
  23. Another beauty, Randy! I've got to pick this kit up one of these days.
  24. Thanks guys!
  25. Great looking Nova! I still need to pick up one of these....
