  1. Wow that's a beauty! Those Mustang bumpers work well on this. Nice custom touches all around, and beautiful paint.
  2. Sweet Rubicon Mike! I like the modified roll bar. The BB Blue looks great as well. ?
  3. Thanks guys!
  4. Finished this up earlier this week. Box stock other than plug wires and a slightly raised suspension. Body is Tamiya TS-11 Maroon & TS-21 Gold. Interior is a mix of TS-75 Champagne Gold & Krylon Short Cuts Antique Bronze. The 30-plus year old decals were a real pain and wanted to curl badly, but with loads of Micro Sol they finally settled down for the most part. I then buried 'em in Model Master Ultra Gloss Clearcote to protect them. These are great kits, second one I've done and have 3 more to tackle. Thanks for looking and any comments or questions.
  5. Awesome Ford, Bill! Excellent detailing underhood, and love that color choice. The stance is spot on too, amazing work. ?
  6. Thanks Chris and Mike! These Scouts are just begging to be lifted.
  7. Nice work on removing the rocker trim, and like the looks without it. And one can never go wrong with Torque Thrust's. She's another clean and sharp build for your collection Roger!
  8. Thanks again for the comments guys. These Scout kits are a lot of fun.
  9. Beautiful Charger, John! Love the white vinyl top.
  10. I concur with what has already been said, this is so cool, and very realistic weathering. Congrats ?
  11. Thanks so much guys. While it does take some extra effort to bring this old kit to life, it sure is worth it. Thanks Lee. This kit lacks the same as the hardtop version does. Radiator, washer bottle, master cylinder/booster, custom air cleaner were all parts box pieces. As was the radiator hose (though the kit does have one). The heater box/motor I scratch built. I see you're in MN, it sure is friggin' cold up here! Still -4 degrees here in western WI.
  12. Troublesome kits for sure, but you sure built a nice one. Congrats ?
  13. That is beautiful, and great photography as well, congrats! Always love seeing Pearson's cars, he was one of my favorites.
  14. Here's my latest build, the uninspiring (detail-wise) but otherwise very cool AMT Scout SSll. The first thing that was addressed was to flatten the curvature that the top of the grille and hood are plagued with, as well as scribing in the various missing panel lines around the body. Then, I couldn't leave it stock so I had to perform a spring over lift, and fitted it with some Fireball Modelworks BFG Krawlers & wheels. The notorious empty engine bay was spruced up with various parts box pieces to make it a bit more acceptable. I wanted to throw on some finned valve covers but didn't have any that fit, so I went with the stock ones. The chrome on the air cleaner was shot, so I stripped it and took a Molotow marker to it and and think it came out pretty decent. The transmission mysteriously doesn't come with a pan, so scratched one for it. Other additions are the brush guard, shocks, and a steering stabilizer and tie rod for the front suspension. The mirror is the one from the kit, however the post it's on came from the parts box as well. Thought about running a full length dual exhaust, but with time I came to like the side dump exhaust more and more and went with it. Paint is Model Master Go Mango, polished out with no clear. Ended up being a really fun build, and love how it turned out. When the weather turns better I may replace these indoor shots with some outdoor ones. Thanks fer lookin' and any questions or comments.
  15. Favorite planes? It looks like mine's not much different than anyone else's Lol. SR-71 Blackbird P-51 Mustang F4U Corsair B-58 Hustler A-10 Thunderbolt Spitfire B-1 Lancer F4 Phantom F-86 Sabre
  16. Very cool! Love the V6 conversion, very clean and tidy work under that hood. My parents watched Hunter, and I was a kid at the time, but I loved that Daytona in the show. This brings back those memories. Again great work and thanks for sharing.
  17. Another beauty, Raoul! You don't see these built often.
  18. You definitely got the most you can out of that one, very nice!
  19. Thanks Joe. Those covers look great. I've never used those brands before but maybe I'll have to give them a try.
  20. Thanks Mike. Here's a link to the site, lots of tips on what to do about various fitment issues with these kits. http://www.mnacreations.com/Models/ Click on tips in the top banner.
  21. Thanks Don. That article really is a big help. I've got the Petty car in the to-do stash as well.

    My 2020

2020 sure was a difficult year, but model wise the year was a knockout for you Roger! Those are all great, just as you always do. Somehow I think I had missed seeing those Edsels, those are sweet! Will be looking forward to what you create here in the new year...as always LOL.
  23. Nice work on a so-so kit John. ?
  24. Thanks for the kind words guys, hope everyone's new year is off to a good start. Thanks! I'd recommend picking one up, it's a pretty good kit that went together well. Thanks Paul! I wanted to change it up a little from what you usually see with these.
  25. Oooh that's going to be nice, JC. I actually kinda dig that custom front end on the orange 67 too. Love seeing all these great looking Falcons guys.
