Thanks for the continued good words everyone. I need to get my hands on a couple more of these someday, as I've got the decals to do both Hubert Platt's and Dyno Don's super stocks. Joe, if you're referring to the front axle, I didn't change up anything with it. I just painted it black to help blend it in with the rest of the suspension. It actually looks ok.

Glad you like it guys, thanks for the comments. Wimbledon White is probably my favorite color on the '68 'Stangs, though Acapulco Blue gives it a serious run for it's money. I used the 2n1 stock/drag edition. It did come with, as far as I could tell, all of the parts for the Bullit kit as well.

Very nice build, probably the best I've seen of this kit. I've got one lurking in the stash that I've opened up the box and looked at the parts numerous times, pondered and mumbled "ehhh", and toss it back into the pile. Someday.....

A fabulous looking Ford, amazing paint!

Built this one back in 2011. Revell kit, painted in Model Master Wimbledon White with a Tamiya Mica Blue interior. I went with Keith Marks decals, as the ones supplied in the kit (the black c-stripes, anyways) were missing the smaller outer accent stripe on the door. Strange, as the remainder of the stripe didn't have this issue. I did the usual plumbing underhood, and added a custom air cleaner. Modded the front bumper attachment points slightly for a more accurate, and better, fit. I initially had my doubts about this kit, but in the end, it was an enjoyable build and glad to have it added to my collection. Thanks fer lookin'. A pic that shows the shine a little better...

Thanks for all the good words guys. As I've said before, not only is it one of my favorite builds, I think they are some of the best model pictures I've taken to date also. That makes for a double whammy against this so-called Ford guy.......I better do something about that! No harm done with those questions Mike, it's all good. The L-88's did have aluminum heads. For the air cleaner, I just liked the looks of the custom one I put on, and went with it. Yeah, it's kinda tough at times to bring a brand-x to the bench (lol), but I still try to make the best of 'em.

There you go thinkin' again! Mmmmmm......a Brute would be pretty sweet.
