That is awesome work. I know how blah that engine looks, so all the effort you are putting into it will make a vast improvement.

I was able to attend my first show in 3 years today. Had a great time all the way around. Paid for a table, sold more than I bought, and even brought home more money than I started with. ? I brought home this 1/12 Camaro, misc 1/8 stuff, a 1/43 white metal kit (talk about extremes), resin Chrysler 300 wagon body. A couple bagged 39 ford sedans, 40 convertible, and CJ7. There was also a silent auction. One of the founding members of the model club that puts on the show, died earlier in the year. To help raise money for the widow, they grouped together lots comprised of four models each, all built by the gentleman who passed away. I won two lots. The first eight pics are of the ones I brought home. It was announced at the end of the show that over $1700 was raised through the silent auction. To cap off an already excellent day, one of my entries brought home the blue ribbon in the Box Stock category.

Not for the faint of hear...

I read another article earlier. The owners actually had four wing cars, two of each. They were stacked on lifts. They drove two out but could not get back in for these two. They were still on the lifts when the storm hit. -

Love what you're doing with it. -
This is a beauty. I recently picked one up that is in need of a restoration, but was happy to get it.

Ha! I'm 55 as well, and I did attempt one of these when I was about 10-11. You notice I said "attempt", it was more like I ruined it. I have always wanted a second chance, but prices have been crazy. So even with any little defects, I was happy when a friend told me it had been re-issued. Mine will be here about the end of the month. I will be watching yours for sure.

What a beautiful build. ?

The 2022 Cannonball Run Year of Birth Build Thread
Sam I Am replied to disconovaman's topic in Community Builds
Lots of great work going on here. Both finished as well as progress. I finally have an update. The interior is wrapped up. I need to polish the glass and hope the glue marks are not visible or I will need replacements. Bmf is my nemesis. I need to foil four projects that are stalled because of that. -

I really love when someone takes a car that many might say "that's sacrilege", and just do it anyway. I took a 250 GTO and made it into a dirt tracker. ?

I can get it on Hulu. Good thing, because I wore out my DVDs...twice.

The owner said he would make me a deal, but I had to take the stands. One is relatively modern, made out of tin, the other one (according to the owner) is about 40 years old and I believe it, it is made out of plywood. He is 73, and has had the hobby shop for decades, but it is time to retire he says.

A friend of mine has one of these that I helped restore. Petty blue. I have this kit, and will be using the chassis from the 71 Charger...when I get around to it. ?
