  1. There is some unbelievable work...and subjects being put together. Just wanted to let everyone know that I have not flaked...yet. lol I am getting my big rig community build project finished up before diving into this one. I have been collecting parts though. Some things have changed along the way, as builds usually do. The twin turbocharged big block arrived from Canada, and I found some C4 Corvette suspension to use. Wheel/tire combo has yet to be determined. Just so ya all know, this baby is gonna scream! I don't think you'all will even see my taillights until you hit California....and I am parked at the finish line with a cold snack in my hand.
  2. I have leftover parts as well. Glad to see another one built, and the short chassis is a great idea.
  3. That is unbelievable. Not only did you go with a different scale than what most build, you also picked a very unique direction for the build. The attention to detail and (almost) ? flawless execution is stunning. I have been collecting larger scale subjects for a number of years now (which this is one of...and needs a few parts also) and just built my first 1/8 last year. Now that my feet are wet, I plan on another one later on this year.
  4. Speechless...
  5. Looks great.
  6. Very nice!

    '67 Cougar

Gorgeous car, and in one of my favorite color combos.
  8. Stunning Elky. My favorite vehicle of all time. Funny about the cars from the age of excess, which I love, but they all seem to stall when it comes to the foil work. ? (which I have three stalled at this moment)
  9. Inspiration indeed. I have one of these as well, along with some other ones. I practiced on the Linberg Bobtail T and learned a lot. Now I need to finish up a few projects on the bench so I can build another one. I have a solid core, 36" wide house door as my bench top and need every bit of it for 1/8.
  10. I will take you up on that Bill, and thanks much. Just a minor update. Mudflaps! I really do like gel pens.
  11. My typo....or fat fingers...or not paying attention...or all of the above. Yes, under 4' 11 is what I thought I typed.
  12. So this is the strange thing. I bought and built that red truck box art, only able to build 100% stock, kit. still have the model, and NO big window, or option for it.
  13. Great detail work. Following this one fir shure.
  14. I just did a quick Google, and Dwarf is actually the correct term, or "dwarfism", and "midget" could be considered the "derogatory" term. Either way, if you have a loved one under 5' 11inches...they are a Dwarf. ?
  15. I really like how you have modified the original kit so as to reproduce these other models.
  16. Ditto for building them in the 70's with my dad. Might even have a pic or two taken by my mom doing so. I have all the Model A's, a few 32 Chevys, Duesenbergs, Packard, and now a couple Model T's. I should really rebuild one. Definitely following your build.
  17. Looking good!?
  18. Thanks William. I am going to look through things one last time before giving up completely. I had forgotten just how easy these kits are. I may want to build more of them. ? Chassis is all painted and up on all ten. only thing slowing this build down is waiting for paint to dry. Everyone needs to do a low stress build once in awhile. Very refreshing.
  19. If you strap your brand new 82 in flat-screen to the top of your jeep....you might be a redneck.
  20. Are the pleats done yet? You said the seats only took 15 min. ?
  21. This thread brings back some memories. I built two of the Monogram Camaros and both the Monogram 57 hardtop and Nomad. Something about those old Monogram kits from my youth. I traded for three old Camaro build ups and a 57 hardtop. Now all I need to find is an old buildup of that Nomad.
