  1. Exactly my thought. Really out of proportion in kit form. Great job. ?
  2. Looks great. Any chance of getting my green one back? ?
  3. I feel a bit better now that I have the cab and nose mocked up (probably just the bourbon talking"). If anyone is good with making decals, let me know. After I get the green on the cab, I will need a bright yellow O and the words "QUACK ATTACK" ?
  4. Well, I am not happy with how things are turning out, but will finish it nonetheless. I couldn't figure out why my yellow chassis parts looked like I used three different color primers under them when I know I didn't. Turns out that the third partial can of Tamiya yellow was slightly different. So I ended up with the original yellow on some, blended yellows on some, and different yellow on others. Fortunately, the cab, nose, and deck plates will be out of the same can. The green will be tied into the stripes on the cab. I think I am done with yellow for a while...
  5. I figured you would with that beast.
  6. Are you donating it to the cause? ?Of course you will need to throw in the tremec transmission. ?
  7. This sounds intriguing. I will do my research, and go through the stash to see what I have that will get the juices flowing. Ok, read through the official rules and picked my car. I am going with a 65-66 mustang. I owned a 65 Falcon Futura sedan with a two bbl 289/C4. At 55mph it got 25mpg and had plenty of torque, and since the 64-66 mustangs are re-skinned Falcons, they should have comparable specs. (Little known useless fact, 1965 Falcon sprint hardtop was lighter and faster than its brother, the 65 Mustang hardtop with gt package.) If i understood correctly, the rules said you could upgrade the cooling system with electric fans and chassis reinforcement. So for the sake of period correctness. I could add subframe connectors, over the counter heavy duty shocks, and front and rear sway bars. This era Mustang also was available with a posi rear-end. Does all that seem correct to those who have done this before?
  8. Received this from a member sometime last year. It will be built oob. The very first big rig I built was the Peterbilt version, so this will make a nice addition. Color scheme is yet to come. I am missing the steering wheel if someone happens to have one.
  9. I really feel bad about throwing my hat in the ring...again, seeing as I have yet to finish one. But here goes. Pile of parts from an old buildup '67 Chevelle, and a few period race car parts. It will have a big block....of some kind.
  10. Beautiful. Definitely need more dirt track subjects.
  11. You better have another model ready to go because at the rate your going you will have this one done before you leave Washington.
  12. Very creative. I love it !
  13. Love Falcons. Great execution.
  14. Looking at getting one of these for the stash, so will be following.
