  1. I have been plugging away at this for almost two years and hardly anything done to it last year. Time to rectify that, and hopefully posting this will keep me motivated. Resin body, hood, grill, and interior tub. So far everything else is from the donor kit other than the seats. They are from the parts box. I do know that I removed the head rests, and the base is from another seat bottom. Paint is from Duplicolor. Here is where I am at. Dash is tacked on to the firewall so I can make sure everything still goes together when it is installed. I need to finish the interior, and I think I have the interior color figured out. I am thinking a company logo on the side panels. I mean, that is why these were built after all.
  2. Just found your thread. I had this same idea years ago with the same kits. I am glad you are acting on it, unlike myself. Your fab work is awesome and the interior is spot on. ?
  3. Nice to have something positive to do on a day that otherwise might not be. I cannot express enough that building models is therapeutic. Love the subject matter. I built this as a kid and would like to build one again. Here is my entry all finished and posted under glass.
  4. This is a reissue of a reissue from AMT. If you don't mind a one piece chassis and a 1965 interior. Yup, 1965. Good thing is that it has very little flash, and everything went together well other than the from bumper/grill assembly. You will need to relieve the the chassis plate and bottom edge of the bumper, where they meet, to get them to line up correctly and fit flush. You can only do this with the chassis plate installed.
  5. Just finished this up. Wheels are optional ones from the kit with spinners added from the Monte Carlo kit. Paint is Duplicolor. Also my first attempt at a vinyl roof.
  6. Finally have pictures of this. Built box stock other than the wheels. Painted Tamiya Pink with Testors White lightning top coat. This is also my Cannonball community build entry.
  7. A V12 Hemi ? Awesome ! I just about have mine buttoned up. Let it thoroughly dry and add a little color to the badges.
  8. I grabbed a few hours sleep, then finished up the interior.
  9. ....and we have paint ! The actual color is a bit darker pink with more pearl than what the picture shows.
  10. I find that pink is difficult to take pictures of. This is the best so far. Tamiya pink with testors white lightning on top. Chassis completed also
  11. There is some great building going on, that's for sure. First posts, and I am building it as a 24hr build. Engine and wheels are assembled. Body is in the paint booth. Chassis plate is in the dehydrator.
  12. That is sweet looking.
  13. I am starting mine later this month.
  14. I am in also. It is the one group build I seem to finish. I did get two done last year though. This one and the Cannonball.
  15. Put me down for the AMT '66 Mercury
  16. Nice to see any 1/8. I have the Jag, and just bought the new issue of the Firebird, but the original issue was a better one. I'll gladly take yours off your hands so I can combine it with mine. ?
  17. Same here Tim
  18. I saw this in person and the pics don't do it justice. Great job !
  19. Last two pics are not showing up for me. I am waiting to see what your vision is going to be. I don't think you ever build anything box stock. ?
  20. Oh my... I was just just getting ready to start a build...wouldn't be too hard to return the headlights, taillights, and license plates to my original idea. I also have a build that the body is the only thing touched. (Painted) I could do what I did with the Chevelle and tear down this old Mustang I have sitting around falling apart. Or break open a brand new kit...ANOTHER...brand new kit that is. It will take me six months just to figure out which one... ?
  21. Great job, love the details. ?
  22. Great execution and creativeness. You can bring any other entry across the finish line after they blow up.?
  23. Great job ...and recovery.
