  1. Are you talking about the guy who bought a brand new Rivian electric pickup and parked in the driveway? They were threatening to kick him out of the gated community because it was a pickup and not in the garage at all times. He pointed out that not only was it brand new, but it cost more than the neighbors cars that were left in the driveway at night. He also pointed out that the bylaws did not specifically single out pickups. I wonder who won.
  2. I keep forgetting to post on your builds since we text pics so much. ? I like this one. That slate gray really sets the decals off.
  3. I am really slow....but you know that by now. I still can't believe you built this tiny car. It turned out pretty good...all things considered. ?
  4. I like the new color over the old.
  5. So smooth. It all flows together...and then you open the hood and see that it's all business.
  6. Love me a pro street, and yours is a great example. ?
  7. Love that paint scheme. My wife bought me one of these, hope I can do it justice after seeing yours.
  8. That is pretty cool. The weathering sure does add to the workhorse vibe.
  9. Any new ones to add? I love seeing these for motivation to finish my own.
  10. I love them, that is why I have so many to build. I believe there is a general thread devoted to them in the light truck section.
  11. Ismael, I don't put this much detail in some of my 1/25 scale builds. ? Awesome job.
  12. This may have been discussed before, but I have noticed these designations being mislabeled. Any passenger car platform is called a "sedan delivery" which was originally based on a two door sedan, which morphed into a two door station wagon in later years. On the other hand, a Panel truck or Panel delivery, is based on a pickup platform, (I have seen factory built on 1/2, 3/4, and 1 ton chassis). Below are examples of both. Do you agree or disagree with the descriptions? If so, which categories should they be posted in?
  13. Absolutely gorgeous! Makes me wish I hadn't got rid of my kit.
  14. Thanks everyone! Last night while test fitting the firewall, I kept looking at the interior tub and kept saying to myself how bland it was...then "ding ding ding" they came with wood floors! So one decal sheet later.
  15. Stunning colors. My favorite car ever, the 59 Chevy. I really like the Impala side trim on your "inspiration" picture.
  16. Thanks Charlie, I have seen other modelers use masking tape in the past with great results, so I gave it a go.
  17. Sharp eye ! Yes, I tied the red into the interior.
  18. You are a glutton for punishment my friend. ?
  19. Thanks everyone, i really appreciate all the kind comments.
  20. Thanks everyone, I appreciate all the kind words. Ewetwo, this is the first time I have used big wheels. I am not normally fond of them but found these in my parts boxes. I normally give them all away but for some reason....
  21. I have been plugging away at this for almost two years and hardly anything done to it last year. Time to rectify that, and hopefully posting this will keep me motivated. Resin body, hood, grill, and interior tub. So far everything else is from the donor kit other than the seats. They are from the parts box. I do know that I removed the head rests, and the base is from another seat bottom. Paint is from Duplicolor. Here is where I am at. Dash is tacked on to the firewall so I can make sure everything still goes together when it is installed. I need to finish the interior, and I think I have the interior color figured out. I am thinking a company logo on the side panels. I mean, that is why these were built after all.
  22. Just found your thread. I had this same idea years ago with the same kits. I am glad you are acting on it, unlike myself. Your fab work is awesome and the interior is spot on. ?
  23. Nice to have something positive to do on a day that otherwise might not be. I cannot express enough that building models is therapeutic. Love the subject matter. I built this as a kid and would like to build one again. Here is my entry all finished and posted under glass.
