  1. I like this idea also. So many ideas....so little time.
  2. Cheaper to build/maintain, and more reliable. Good move! ?
  3. Not sure, but those decals may have been in "The Tournament of Thrills" issue.
  4. Great idea! I will follow the discussion and file it away for future reference.
  5. Snake, I would go with #1. That sounds like a great idea....and since I have a kit, I might "borrow" that idea myself. ?
  6. Had a most excellent transaction with vintagedragcrazy. Thanks so much Vince !
  7. Yea, I looked hard at that Elcamino. I have the flintstone resin body, 68 donor kit, and front end parts from an amt 70 Chevelle are on their way to me, so all I need is the 70 Monte front bumper. It was REAL hard walking out of the store empty handed today...
  8. Nice projects there. That Caddy wagon would make a good service vehicle. ?
  9. So after spending time with you all here in the diecast section I decided to see what my small town had to offer. We have four stores, Walgreens, Riteaid, Walmart, and Fred Meyers (our local Krogers). Walgreens had this simple rack of what looks like 1/43 Wellys. Some nice subjects but toy like and only the doors open. Riteaid had another rack of Wellys with some modern 1/24. Walmart had a little higher end of diecast, better subject matter in 1/24, 1/32, and I am impressed with some of the 1/64 stuff. Fred Meyers was the absolute Hot Wheels heaven, bins and racks on sale at 5 for $5, and a whole aisle dedicated to 1/64 with a few 1/24 nascar and some 1/32, and models. So if I were to pick up any diecast locally, it would definitely be the higher end 1/64.
  10. Ditto! Great job on the air cleaners!
  11. If nobody else joins in, I will be happy to do a second build with you. If there is anything in my list above that you already have, let me know.
  12. Thanks for the additional pics !
  13. Thank you so much, that is exactly what I needed. Now I can have the picture on the screen while looking through my parts.
  14. Did you find the instruction sheet yet? ?
  15. Does anyone have a good CLEAR scan of an AMT instruction sheet that shows the torsion bar rear suspension? The only one on Drastic Plastic is a little blurry for my eyes and I need clear pics so I can find all the pieces in my parts bags. TIA, Sam
  16. That is a race car hauler ramp body for a big rig.
  17. It is a 90 year old car, bound to be some sag to the top bows.
  18. So... I see that coffee stirrers, sheet balsa, and sheet basswood have been used. Anybody use popsicle sticks or tongue depressors? Just throwing that out there because I have an hour drive to Michaels and more to HL.
  19. It was not me but that was the thread I was talking about.
  20. Found time to scrub the trailer. A little warm water, dawn, and an old toothbrush does wonders. Now I need to go find that thread that discussed wooden decks...
  21. Had a great trade with ranma!
