Building Something From Nothing...
Sam I Am replied to Tom Geiger's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
You are not nice Tom. ? I was looking through my parts boxes for a single hubcap that another member needed and had a squirrel moment thanks to this thread. All I need are a couple frames and bodies. Oh, and yes I found the hubcap. -

I have owned rear engined VWs, Fiats, a Renault, and 1st gen Corvairs. The Corvair was by far the safest. I have always ignored both Nader and his soapbox when it came to the Corvair.

It was from my youth and I built it with the optional overhead valve V8, but did not remember that it came with the four cylinder. I just went and looked in my parts box, and still have the four cylinder...unbuilt. Tom, I may have a hubcap for you. I will check later today. -

The AMT 32 Ford Victoria should give you the same Center cap as the Roadster. -

Bill, I found this in an old box of parts and wondered if it was something you could use. It is the only one I have.

I love them! I have every Hubley Model A in the series. My dad would build them with me when I was a kid. I also have many extras. Do you have pics of how you did the conversions? I would be thrilled to save them for future use.

Changing Times, Changing Tastes
Sam I Am replied to Richard Bartrop's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
While aesthetically speaking , most grocery getters from the '80s have no appeal to me. I did however own two cars from the '80s that I would own again in a heartbeat, and gladly restore them. They were both freaky fast and would out handle pretty much anything from earlier decades. 1985 Dodge Omni GLH Turbo 1989 Ford Taurus SHO ...and yes, I would gladly take them to a car show. -

This is another reason why many shelves at stores are empty. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/he-has-17700-bottles-of-hand-sanitizer-and-nowhere-to-sell-them/ar-BB11blvS?li=BBnb7Kz -

48th Annual Bob Paeth Portland d Classic Model Car Contest is cancelled. The Club is working with the World of Speed for a future date. The Portland Roadster show is also cancelled but I have not heard any more than that on it

Thanks for the heads up. I was planning on attending. -
So after dealing with some health issues, I felt like touching a model again. So I drilled out the rivets holding the glass in, scuffed everything up real good, and put some primer on it.

When I asked Flat32 about pics of his Model T, he insisted on sending it to me. It needs a little TLC but wow is this thing cool ! Thanks to Ray, I have a DM 1925 Model T Roadster. ?
