  1. Superb work, and your attention to detail is as always spot on. ?
  2. That white tractor sure looks outa place in that sea of orange. Kinda reminds me of the old Sesame street song...?
  3. Trailer is awesome! That will be one sweet combo when finished.
  4. Well...here is what I have at the moment. A few different oil washes...still a little more to do.
  5. Dual carbs and headers. That little six can really talk. Did you add flat top pistons and regrind the cam? ?
  6. I am having a problem with squirrels right now, but my wife told me to work on a model, and I just couldn't argue with her, so I did what any good husband would do and said "yes dear". So I have all the vynil roof texture sanded off and the roof glued in place. I also bit the bullet and worked out an idea for the hood. The AMT kit did not have the correct hood for the movie car. The more I looked at the modern Challenger hood the more I went hmmmm... So the pics below show what I did to get a slightly more modern look to the "correct for the movie car hood". I still have a lot of filling, sanding, and rinse and repeat on both the hood and roof but am pleased with my rough draft.
  7. Thanks Jeff. So pretty much just do it like I would plastic, and yes, practice on the scrap first.
  8. Thanks so much guys, I do appreciate all the encouragement. I have a huge problem with squirrels, but my wife said "you really need to work on a model today", can't argue with that, so I didn't. I have all the basswood cut and mocked up. Before I glue it in place, should I weather it before, or after? Also, for those who have done a wood deck, do you use thinned out artists oils, or chalk powder, or both? I use both when weathering plastic.
  9. I could definitely see myself getting one of these.
  10. Grest concept AND execution!
  11. Nice looking engine. Headers came out great.
  12. I have been a buyer/seller on Ebay since 2000, with over 1500 transactions and feedback of 100%. As a seller I can pretty much list an item anyway I want and people know they can count on me. The last few things I have listed, I went the BIN route. I researched sold items to get a fair price that I could live with, added in a shipping price that covered most of the US, and added free shipping to the auction. What it did for me was eliminate all the questions from buyers, and sell the item quickly. Already had it boxed, just had to drop it off at the post office. The last items I listed were higher end stuff and while I made off really good, the buyers were very happy as well. As a buyer, I like BIN for most things. Look for a fair price that includes shipping and it's in the mail to me the next day. If it's something I really want, and it is rare, I am more than happy to try and snipe it at the last second.
  13. Just found this thread. Those are awesome models! I have no clue where one would display those huge kits. Really looking forward to seeing the rest get built.
  14. That interior looks great Tom.
  15. WoW ! Those are beautiful builds ! I love the classic lines of the 40. Some people prefer the 32, some the 33-4, some the 36, but not me. 40 is where it's at.
  16. All I can say is WoW!....again. ? is ready.
  17. I built this one as a kid as well. I might even have a couple wheels left from it.
  18. This is just an amazing build. I love this era of automobiles and will continue to follow your progress all the way to under glass.
  19. Very ambitious. ?
  20. They would move even faster if you put a bull bar on it. ?
  21. Really nice restorations Snake.! ?
  22. Minor Snake fu and it will be a winner. Maybe a medium gray on the wheels.
  23. Looks sweet Tom! I love the looks of this car and have a few in the stash myself.
