  1. everything looks top notch, and amazing job replicating the other willys. One thing I notice is the wheel arches on the model are a little off, but still nice job!
  2. beautiful work Jonathan! the paint and decals look great together! and nice detailing in the engine bay.
  3. since joining SAE and MCM I have noticed my skills skyrocket, I would just like to thank everybody here who has gave me suggestions and helped me improve my modeling skills. After all the comparison is shocking... just a little over a year ago, today,
  4. After 11 and a half months I have her done! what a relief! heres just a few pictures the rest are posted in the Under Glass Section.
  5. For those who didn't follow the build its here http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=69587&page=15 .Started out life as the revell kit and it has underwent more modifications than I initially thought my skills would allow but after 11 and a half months I finished her. the paint is Testors OCL with at least 4 or 5 coats of clear. the engine is from the kit but I added ignition wire, scratch built a MSD Blaster SS coil, after market dominator, scratch built A/N fittings with detail master braided line, completely scratch built fuel regulator, completely scratch built Moroso vacuum pump, completely scratch built puke tank, completel scratch built race water pump, completely scratch built 10 point roll cage, completely scratch built tubs in the interior and on the chassis, after market cowl hood, scratch built parachute mount and safety cord, and way more to list. I highly recommend checking out the build from start to finish if you like it. Interior all comments and suggestions welcome
  6. and its finished! the full set of pictures are in the Under glass section. just realized the radiator hose come off the radiator doh!
  7. got the cuda pretty much finished today so pictures are soon to come!!!
  8. Should have some good progress pics tonight I finally don't have any homework tonigh! First time in weeks!
  9. Thank you, I've put a lot of effort and ventured into stuff that I thought I could never do with the engine, as for my future I hope it works out too, I feel that's its the better and smarter path rather than going straight to Wyotech and taking a loan to pay for it and then be in debt afterwards.
  10. getting the engine wrapped up, vacuum pump finished and installed, push lock line in, and all the fittings I scratch built. the whole unit is completely scratch built excluding the hose. not too shabby if I don't say myself, I also scratch built an overflow bottle except for the breather. and with the core support finished I think the Camaro radiator looks 100X better than the kit junk. all comments and suggestions are welcomed!
  11. Im pretty sure its a wagon because you can see the rear hatch is built into the cab and the bottom of the hatch is the tailgate, the rear quarters still have vega wagon/panel bofy lines.
  12. yes it could be cool, but it definitely needs the engine up front a shorter bed, a 12 bolt or 9 inch to hold some power, and too much to list haha
  13. I own a '71 panel express, if you could make a panel version I would definitely be interested! also will there be louvers on the rear quarters like the 1:1's? and price? I didn't see it on your website.
  14. This think has been around for awhile, '71 vega elcamino. I say its a disgrace to both the vega and the elcamino as it is quite ugly and poorly executed. heres the link, http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/saint-louis/1971/chevrolet/vega-S4979.html
  15. wow! nice job Niko! the paint looks stunning and nice job with the engine details!
  16. because whats not cool about these things?
  17. well if everybody is fine with it (I don't have a problem with it) but remember you have till' December 1st.
  18. IMO the Monza isn't a loser car, they're pretty sweet. I'd rather be in one than most muscle cars, I guess if you love vegas you like monzas as well.
  19. wow! that paint is stunning! the engine looks sweet! did the drag radials come from Ma's?
  20. yes school work is very important especially going down the path im taking. which is my plan, going into the navy as a Seabee construction mechanic and stay long enough to pay for me to go to Wyotech and from there find myself a high paying job.
  21. sweet looking foxbody! cant tell if its a slick or a radial but what are you running?
  22. it sure has been a while! ill be there for the race! stock yes, as a drag car, the owner has the choice of color
  23. very nice progress! keep it up!
  24. Thanks Al, I definitely will, school and my future is much more important than a model.
  25. thank you Jonathan! haha I think it looks pretty good on my shelf
