  1. I personally haven't built this kit but I have heard a lot about parts fitment making this kit be a real test of your patience to build. It came out looking top notch even with the few details like the zoomies not exactly lining up true it still looks incredible. I cant believe that its only your 3rd built in several years, looks better than anything I've built after building for four years straight.
  2. I'll be watching! should be an interesting project.
  3. Thank you! ill check in on availability of the resin kit, its a shame that kit manufacturers pretty much ignore the H-bodies in the new full detail kits these days. Most of them are very cool cars.
  4. Welcome to the forum!, Its nice to see another young member building models. I'm just a few years older than you and I believe you are the youngest member here. You'll learn a lot here, and your skills will improve drastically. I would really like to see some of your past builds if you'd like to post some pictures of them here.
  5. Amazing work!
  6. How did you make the collectors on the headers? they look perfect!
  7. I just put the bird chassis under it and the wheel base is very close but just my luck the pro stock chassis is extremely warped. I'm going by my LHS today so ill see if they'll give me a new kit but if not ill attempt to throw it in hot water and hope to get it right so all the chassis components line up, holes align with pins and all four wheels sit on the ground.
  8. Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead but has anybody made a resin 71,72 wagon body? id like to convert it into a panel and build my 1:1 71 panel delivery. Bought it in '08 for $300 from an ex ww2 vet who had it sitting in his barn since '75. It was rock stock and in the original paint. It has zero rust no major dings or anything, no bondo on the car except for the hatch which got a small bit but is easily replaced.
  9. Today like others Santa dropped by with these gems... thunderbird pro stock and the Grumpy's Toy '66 nova, I'm not sure if ill build it as a replica or if ill build and x275 radial drag car. I'm kinda leaning toward the building a x275 car. One thing I noticed is that the Thunderbird has weld Pro Stars rather than the Super Slot's that are on the 1:1
  10. Very nice work! Nice scratch building sir.
  11. Got this same kit for Christmas as well, not sure what ill do with her maybe a x275 radial car if I get my hands on a set of some resin drag radials. I'll be following along Niko, nice work so far! -Edit, I just looked and mine has two race masters unlike yours..
  12. Nice job, but it appears you have the shifter sideways, should be facing foreword.
  13. besides this being a hatch and yours a notch, Anthony Pecks turbocharged Ls swapped fox looks wicked in this color, if you haven't fully decided on the color yet this would look pretty sweet.. Sorry for hi-jacking the thread, if you'd like me to remove it no problem.
  14. Such amazing work! and being a Vega makes it 100X better!
  15. beautiful model and beautiful photography!
  16. simply fantastic!
  17. very clean. very realistic, nice work!
  18. I got mad that I put a decal from the wrong era on it and cleared it after finally pulling off a near perfect paint job and thinking about having to strip it I got pissed at it and just through it in the box.
  19. wow! it looks spot on!
  20. Did you scratch build the water pump?
  21. count me in too! I'd like to thank nick for putting in all the time and effort that he does to run it! next year I will not bring a drag car to a cross country race
  22. Nice work Tyrone! I hope to successfully scratch a full tube chassis soon.
