  1. Nice issue of the 1969 Barracuda funny car. Optional wheel sets, those sweet Racemaster tires, pretty nice new decal sheet with duplicates when we ham fist the pinstripes and lots of chrome with multiple reference pics on box. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AufQ45RtToo
  2. I'll let you know this week, I'll be opening it up and doing a full parts review.
  3. Nice re-release of the classic 83 Z28 kit. Minimal flash, nice chrome work, decal sheet is clear. No big new surprises on this one, just a good repop of an older kit. Would have liked some different tires though, just personal opinion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLIfObfE2oY
  4. Adding to that I'd like to see the FJ models produced, classic and new. Being pretty iconic in Japan and the US I'm surprised Tamiya never made one until the new FJ RC kit. They make dozens of other RC and diecasts of them too, but not one glue kit that I can find. If anyone finds a glue kit of an FJ (classic or new) let me know please.
  5. Maybe we're just the same level of crazy? LOL Thanks as always Scott.
  6. Re-release of the AMT '59 El Camino kit, this time with the original box art, poster, decal inside. 8, yeah, EIGHT pad printed tires in the box (whitewall and polyglas), both 348 and supercharged V8 as well and a nice sheet of waterslides for stock, work truck and custom. Steelies, hub caps and centerline style wheels included. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oc3gdnd4iFs
  7. I want that Napa kit for sure.
  8. Revell is back with the full paint and assemble NASCAR kits, first off the line is this Ford Fusion in Kevin Harvick #4 Jimmy John's livery. Looks great, no name tires but that is easily solved and most of us will want to letter those tires for sure. Glass is super thin and prepainted, roll bars are nice and thin, no short shorts or mold issues. Even includes a figure and full decals of course. Aftermarket guys will make a mint selling every race stable colors imaginable. I'm really excited about the Napa Chevy SS kit, I just like the Napa colors. https://youtu.be/GSILqvW28mQ
  9. Thanks Scott, glad you are still enjoying them!
  10. Cool repop by Round2. Never even knew these existed. Can't pass it up for $9.99! Seam issues with two parts, easily fixed with putty, otherwise no real problems. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q22XLd7SryM
  11. Nice re-release from AMT. Over 100 chrome parts alone! Great tires as always too. This is the very first fire truck kit I've ever owned, pretty impressed with all the parts and detail. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xe7ZN-Nkxw PS, does anyone know why linking to YouTube videos doesn't work anymore? I go to insert the media link using the icon at the bottom right "Insert other media" and it just spins and spins nothing. Been like that for weeks now.
  12. Box says 1/12th and based on the skeleton size it's close enough.
  13. Finally we see the re-release of the old and much loved MPC Pirates of the Caribbean kits!Enjoy the fact that you can now buy a repopped kit for $20 with more in the series to come!Went together like a charm, no issues. Works flawlessly, paints up nicely. Build video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dp6xb0vyCfs (Website still has stalling issues direct linking to videos with preview)
  14. Yup. They also love to claim "Everyone would buy this kit!" of some obscure year and model variant of a car they personally like and then it does get made by an aftermarket place, they sell 18 kits and they needed to sell 500 to break even on molds and marketing. the kicker being, the guy that wanted it so bad never buys it "Wasn't accurate enough", "Too expensive".
  15. Tower Hobbies made the list. Tower Hobbies and Revell are owned by Hobbico, they are all under the same parent banner. It's doubtful Revell gave their business partner bad information, but someone could have typed it up wrong in the process. http://www.hobbico.com/who.php
  16. Bummer, I love the goofy stuff.
  17. All the roasted rods lately and the models to go with just make me think they don't know how to do a gloss clean paint job anymore. I admire the smooth gloss jobs with great trim work and glass, those are hard to get perfect. I make weathered kits all the time, it's far easier to beat something up and use flat paints, etc.
  18. Get in line!
  19. Correct, those are grooves. I'm assuming to make it easier for the people on the factory to get good lines as they paint. One could easily bleed some black in there for a nice strong line between the colors, like the cartoon had.
  20. Revell's brand new Scooby Doo Mystery Machine. Goes together better than any other US brand snap kit I've ever assembled, really nice for the kiddos to get into kits and for us cartoon fans to enjoy a great kit too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2tFjmN9wMg Sorry, direct URL linking is not working on the forums today or I'd embed the video as usual. I'll come back tomorrow and see if it's working yet.
  21. Thanks for the nice words guys, as always, much appreciated.

  23. This is now in stock at the usual sources, Model Roundup, Model Car Mountain, etc. Can't wait to get mine and crack the box open.
  24. Thanks guys, I think I'd like to do mine as a plain jane hardware truck. I wanted to do a glossy fancy strip mall crawler style but after seeing the decals I really think a plain hardware store truck would be really fun looking.
  25. 3n1 re-release with new decals and pad printed tires. This does include the trailer as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WeNVoyHzsRI
