  1. The reissue. Just finished the 77 Cruising van reissue and will start this Toyota today.
  2. I'll have to get one and make it just like mine. Now where can I find 1/24 Goodyear Duratracs? LOL
  3. I did it in two parts so that it wasn't a 45 minute video but you can see part two here and part one covers the gull wing Piranha car and diorama included. I enjoyed all three kits.
  4. I have this on the bench. Molds look good, it has a sweet river raft too! Tires are Goodyears, blackwall. Will be doing a full build review after the 77 Ford Van.
  5. I have this kit and am starting it today. The dragster has a clear upper body and a yellow tint upper body in the box. I think I'll use the clear yellow and decal over it to show off the chassis inside. I've never built any of the three kits in the box so this will be all new to me. Hope it turns out well.
  6. Just means I'd be buying far fewer Tamiya kits. Their loss. I love Tamiya kits but I'm not paying full retail price for them. I'll just buy a more detailed Dragon or Takom or Meng kit of the same subject if I have to pay that much. This won't help them. The hobby is already struggling. Silly to price yourself out of the range of the average builder of your product. These aren't Ferraris or Teslas where they have the marketplace cornered for their specific product.
  7. Enjoyed every second of mine. Three types of grill decals, three construction companies on the decal sheet too.
  8. That's a REALLY nice build.
  9. Making all this fuss over .04 inch difference in a plastic car model? Really?
  10. Love me some Yota, will be getting and building.
  11. I see that the Wilson Livestock Van Trailer and the Peerless Logging Trailer are coming back in 2018 under the AMT logo.
  12. I'm hoping the Baywatch parts are in the box. Wish I could find a place that sold the decals.
  13. I enjoyed this kit, I've never owned it before and like Oldsmobiles. Fit was fine, not one issue. Decals are great, went on smooth. Only issue was hand painting the loooonnnggggg chrome strip down the fenders and up around the windows, but the molding is prominent enough to let you do it with a good paint marker dragged sideways. (I don't do BMF) You get four of the new Firestone Wide Oval tires and two Goodyear blue stripe slicks too. Two wheel options, stock and custom.
  14. Lots of cool ideas, thanks guys. How I forgot the Del Rio, I'll never know. I have the kit, even did a video of it. I really wish they had at least one 70s or 80s big boat wagon out there from the big companies, maybe one day we'll get one.
  15. I forgot I even did the video. Yup, those slicks are really cool. I reread this thread, funny that in 2014 certain 'experts' were saying Round2 was just about ready to go out of business due to releases of kits like this..... Funny.
  16. What's out there for wagon kits? 80s and older, any brand. I have a hankering to build a stock station wagon, a real plain jane mom type grocer getter.
  17. OK, now that Safari one is way too cool. Would LOVE to see that again and they can let you build it stock or with all the safari goodies.
  18. Correct, one side is much thicker and the driver side fits correctly as it should. But you can get the passenger side over the rim and it holds fine and doesn't cave or suck in on the inside of the rim either. It's not made to fit that way, but it does in the case of needing it to sit right because it's directional tread.
  19. You can see they are on the correct way on the passenger side and look fine.
  20. You can get them on. Unless you plan on rolling it on the floor, then they will slip off. Otherwise they fit tight and face the right way. They should have made them mount properly, but its completely doable as is, just stretch them over and it goes on without a lot of fuss. I didn't have to glue them on or anything.
  21. "imo there is no excuse to keep "re-packaging" these disasters and chucking them out." Disaster? Nah.
  22. ^ What Casey said.
  23. Did a full build of the Baja Bronco. I built it as Wheeler's green Bronco from the movie 'Role Models' (as close as I can get it with a box kit and no aftermarket). Goes together great, not one issue and I'm happy with the result. It needs the front flares to be Wheeler's truck anyway.
  24. This 2018 release builds up with no issues and yes, while some dislike it molded in color, once buffed a little bit and cleared the metallic blue looks really nice in my opinion. Better than most of us could do with paint and get that deep tiny flake look. You can build it 'stockish' (not perfectly stock) as well as the modified off roader.
