    A Few Fords

    Great builds.
  2. I love the original Red Pig and that is a great modern tribute to it.
  3. Headlights fitted and fabricated an oil cooler.
  4. Impressive work gentlemen.
  5. Thanks Tim. Yea the size of the rubber on these beasts was over the top. It was the hairy chested 70s!
  6. Thank you gentlemen for the interest and the comments. Wheels and tires are from a Porsche 917 built-up I have in the stash. I had to repair the beads on the rims where the builder cut them from the sprue. I won't be using the front wheels as the car I'm replicating had the radial cooling fans installed. The radial fan inserts are from the Nitto/AMT 935 kit. I'm using the 917 kit wheel backs and parts box rims to complete the front wheel assembly.
  7. Very nice Roman.
  8. Appreciate the comments gentlemen. Here is my 914-6 GT that Ace-Garageguy mentioned.
  9. The dry break openings in the hood didn't match my reference so I filled them and drilled new ones. Removed the lip along the bottom of the front air dam as again didn't match my reference.
  10. Great work.
  11. I skipped out the office on my 30th birthday to see David Lowery and Johnny Hickman of Cracker play a few songs in a record shop near the University of Maryland. It was a present to myself.
  12. Sorry to hear that Tom.
  13. Another great Porsche build Chang.
  14. Good stuff Kurt.
  15. Thanks Les. After a marginally successful attempt to make a windshield from clear flat stock I started over with Fujimi 964 kit glass. After reshaping the opening and replacing all the molding trim I have a decent fit. Carved a channel to accept the back glass.
  16. Will the Aoshima kit glass fit the C1 body?
  17. The basic engine (block, transmission and fan) is all the same in the Fujimi 911/930 EM kits. The only difference between the kits are the induction and exhaust systems included.
  18. Challenging kit to build but with effort it can be turned into something nice. I built a stock version kit based with a Fujimi engine and wheels. I scratch built the headers.
  19. Cleanup of the rear fenders and improved fitting of the whale tail wing. Fit a Fujimi chassis.
  20. While visiting recently with my friend Mr. Bradford (HRM) he pulled this gem from his stash. Knowing my affection for Porsche he bestowed it upon me, yes it is good to have friends. Having had it for many years he doesn't recall the source. Only the body and wing are included. It's not a HRM claiber casting but I think I can do something with it. The wing provided is the wrong style for the car I wish to build. . I replaced it with a correct RSR wing from Reji, filled the incorrect NACA ducts in the fenders , opened all the various cast closed slots and performed some overall cleanup.
  21. Great looking project.
  22. You should start a thread. Maybe just call it "Mercedes Outlaws and Hot Rods".
