  1. Thanks guys. A small block Chevy - NOOOO! More painting to do but couldn't resist a quick mock-up.
  2. Another stunner Charles - very nice.
  3. Yea the big center hub, I was thinking knock off but Dennis doesn't need my help to build a great model. He has built many and this will be another one.
  4. Very nice Bruce.
  5. You have a great eye Dennis and have forgotten more about hot rods than I'll ever know but I'm with RRR. I think the rear wheels take away from an otherwise great build.
  6. A shoulder for the floating end of the spring to ride on makes sense. You piqued my interest about the Hendrickson RT suspension, apparently the basic design has been used for decades. Great design and sound engineering never goes out of style.
  7. Are your talking about the bead rolls pressed into the floor pan to add rigidity?
  8. Your photos no longer appear so we can't follow your tutorial.
  9. Am I correct that these are the instructions for this kit? https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/amt-instructions/automotive-cars--pi/ford/1961-1970/amt_1967_ford_falcon/
  10. Instruction sheet for the Falcon MS. https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/amt-instructions/modified-asphalt--d/amt-69-ford-faclon-/?view=roll#5
  11. R&MCoMD offers several different styles in resin, pistol grip, T-handle etc. Sorry I don't have photos.
  12. Chassis number is CSX3009, nickname "Ollie the Dragon" because of the huge flames belched out of the side pipes. Google it and you can ready the history.
  13. Only a mist coat but here is the color: Model Master - Fifties Aqua.
  14. Impressive work Andy.
  15. Hope you'll share some of your 1:1 projects and knowledge with us Jeff - welcome aboard.

Shay, I looked at the kit instructions on-line and it appears it might work. I have this Fujimi kit maybe I can modify the L24 engine.
  17. The tribute turned out great.
  18. I drew the front fender panel line on the body before I primed and didn't like to the look so I choose not to add it. Appreciate the suggestions though.
  19. Great build Mitch.
  20. Bill, I've built the Sunny kit both as a 427 and a FIA roadster. The FIA car required more modifications which I'll get into in a moment. First here is a photo with the Revellogram 427 (red body) next to the Sunny, I think the fender shapes compare favorably. If your unconvinced there was a run of approximately 32 cars that received narrower body work at the rear so you could always claim your build is one of the "narrow wing" cars. Now the FIA, the roadster retained the original 289's "D" shaped grille opening compared to the oval shape of the 427. This shot shows the stock Sunny (gold body) next to my modified body. The FIA car also used the "cut back" doors and the side pipes did not pass though the fender. Here I rescribed the door lines and filled the fender openings. Some (not all) of the FIA cars had the suitcase bumps added to the trunk lid before they were sent to Europe to comply with the FIA rules of the day. Finally, the Sunny kit, which is a modified AMT 289, has the correct transverse leaf spring suspension for the FIA car. It doesn't provide the correct coil over suspension for the 427. No suggesting the Sunny kit is perfect but in 1/25 scale it's the only option I am aware of and can be built into descent replicas of both cars. CSX3016 - 427 Cobra: CSX2260 - FIA Roadster
  21. I remember this movie - haven't seen it more years than I care to admit.
  22. The Sunny/Academy/Minicraft kit is a 427 body on a 289 chassis. It can be converted to the correct twin A-arm coil-over suspension for the 427 but it takes some work.
