  1. Romik makes some great resin kits, nice score Kurt. http://modellingmaster.com/porsche-959-paris-dakar-86/ I finally tracked down a BMW R80 kit.
  2. Very nice Andy.
  3. Still have to apply BMF around the window frames but here is finished paint. I sanded the paint back to give it a sun beaten finish with a few subtle thin spots.
  4. Great project Scott.
  5. You should go for it, would be a good project.
  6. Looks like a Ray-Dot mirror. There was an aftermarket company, who's name escapes me that offered them in white metal. I used them on this build.
  7. Newman's car was a 280Z which has slightly different body lines from the 240Z.

Thanks for the comments Bill and for checking in.
  9. Thanks Curt. I applied another coat of paint and just letting it cure. Thanks for the pictures Alan. I added a resin tach to the dash (from Scenes Unlimited) and painted the rear bumper similar to your photos.

I haven't pulled out the Fujimi engine for comparison yet. If I take it on I want to use the side draft Webers.
  12. Appreciate the suggestion Andy, but I'm happy with my choice.

For those that may care:AC Cars chassis number legend: AE – AC engine BE – Bristol engine RS – Ford engine (Rudd Speed) X – Export (left hand drive) CS – Carroll Shelby Therefore the car I am building BEX1110, would be Bristol powered, left hand drive, chassis number 1110.

Settled on the '61 Le Man class winner BEX1110 as the car I wish to build.
  16. These cars are referred to as "LeMan Replicas". They are original Cobras built to the same spec as those that competed in the '63 24-hour. Two distinctive identifiers are the oversized fender vents and the shortened trunk lid hinged the opposite way. The black #97 was the only time the hardtop was used in competition by Shelby in the USA.
  17. Great cars and pictures, thanks for sharing them.
  18. Impressive work thus far.
  19. I like it.
  20. I understand there is a Super Snake trans-kit for the Revellogram 427 in development - stay tuned.
  21. Thanks guys. Color is close to "Aquamarine" .
  22. Impressive.
