I have always enjoyed slot cars, primarily HO scale. Had very few growing up. I began collecting as an adult. Occasionally setup a track for the kids and myself to enjoy.
I think this car is far more worth of the GT40 legend. It was designed as a race car at its core. I believe the 2006 Ford GT was always intended and as a street car although they did take it racing.
MRRN was/is my all time favorite modeling magazine as it was dedicated to race cars. If you are interested in race car modeling do yourself a favor and buy this CD.

There is a good article about the "Grey Ghost" in that useless book I recommended. The car is unrestored, preserved in its 1971 state and still competing in the vintage racing.
