I find the David Tom's book a wealth of detail and technical information about the original cars. Yes it also includes restored original cars (slightly modified to compete in vintage racing) but it's still a great book, at least in my opinion. -
Super clean custom and I love the color.

The Heller kit includes a nice two-blade fan. With the front suspension installed I can confirm I have good clearance at the front of the engine. Also fab'd an extended drive shaft.

Me on the far left at a golf tournament. We won with a Best Ball score of 14 under.

The Ace didn't have the spare tire recess in the "boot" like the Cobra. After cutting it off the kit interior I installed flat stock both top and bottom. I also like to remove the section of interior tub above the door pockets, gives the inner door area more depth and is more representative of the 1:1.

Not sure these would work if you are planning on sectioning the body but I have no experience with fiberglass bodies.

I do not Bill, at least not yet. I assume the SAAC registry includes HEM6 but I haven't tried to look it up yet.

Thanks guys. Skip, yes the transition is a bit sharp. However I found a lot of variation in the nose shape. Being hand built cars this is understandable. Some with a sharp transition some more rounded.

Yea that is fiberglass. Not sure what would bond to it if you decide the widen the body. Ace-Garageguy has experience with fiberglass. I would check with him.

First primer coat didn't reveal anything major, just some tweaking required.

Had to modify some cross members and fab new motor mounts.

Is the body fiberglass? Doesn't really look like resin.
