  1. Happy April Fools to you too Ed.
  2. Thanks Ray. Surprising how nice the Revellogram Halibrands look once you strip off all the incorrect chrome. I striped the knock-off as well in preparation for paint.
  3. As mentioned above wheels are painted Titanium Gold with a brown wash on the centers. Click on the pictures to see them full scale.
  4. I airbrushed the bottle acrylic. It is a nice color. Haven't watched the race yet but I will. The Silver Leaf paint job is no contest winner but it will do - I ain't paint'n it again.
  5. I store mine on the head of a pin.
  6. No clear Gene, not a big fan of the super glossy look particularly on old race cars. Wheels are this color:
  7. Thanks Bruce. I have the wheels and tires painted, will post pictures this afternoon.
  8. All Duckworth did was design the winningest engine in F1 history, the legendary Ford DFV. It would dominate F1 of decades. Great film.
  9. Welcome Brandon. This is a great hobby, one that you can enjoy for a lifetime.
  10. Side pipes installed.
  11. Fantastic race cars. Thanks for posting it Art.
  12. What a sexy car. I'll be following David.
  13. The recently re-released Revell Porsche 914/6 is a good example. The shape of the kit windscreen is not correct (it should be taller and more rounded). I personally can look past this error and, to my eye, it still builds into a nice model. Others may disagree. There have been some recent releases where the general shape of the body has immediately struck me as odd. I find it difficult to look past some of those issues.
  14. Thank you gentlemen. I've started final assembly. I'll post progress pictures soon.
  15. The discontinued Thunder Valley trans-kit included the best BRM GT40 wheels (and tires) I've seen. The set on the left. The 1:1 wheels.
  16. Mockup while I wait for my painted trunk lid to dry.
  17. I enjoy researching my projects and am always on the look out for possible futures projects. Yes I have added the fuel filler in the rear fender as well as the remote oil tank and filler in the front fender.
  18. Very nice.
  19. I have the Studio 27 set but the stripes are wrong for the '66 Sebring car.
  20. It looks good but I think your rear wheel wells are little too small. I would move only the forward edge towards the front. This will make your rear axle look more forward and give the rear tire better clearance
  21. Not sure what you are seeing Tony, but I see no problem
