  1. Agreed. If that is the only issue with the kit it will the greatest kit in history.
  2. Imagine where they may have finished if that ridiculous qualifying format wouldn't have sent them to the back of the grid.
  3. I plan on building one of these eventually as well. Very interested in your progress Steve.
  4. Great progress thus far Joe.
  5. Thanks Kevin.
  6. Excellent.
  7. Very tidy install Art.
  8. Excellent build and I love the color scheme.
  9. That would be one killer garage Rex, having these three sitting in it.
  10. Thanks Pete. This car is currently being restored to it as raced spec. I am very interested to see what color wheels they install. A lot of builds have the wheels painted a gold color. I followed the kit instructions and painted the wheel centers gunmetal. The Halibrand wheels had a pretty broad color range so I think either would be correct. I really like your "Little Deuce".
  11. A picture of the wheels would help us help you.

    68 Dart 440 GTS

    Very nice.
  13. The finish on this build is just polished plastic.
  14. Looks good Dale. You might try some Tamiya "Smoke" over the color to give it a bit of sheen.
  15. Looks good Ray.
  16. No the Monogram is a better kit but it is 1:24 scale. I wanted a 1:25 scale 427 to fit in with the rest of my Cobra builds which are focused around the 1:25 scale AMT kit.
  17. Thanks Bill. Sunny and Academy have both issued this kit. Its is a 427 kit based on the AMT 289 chassis. I'm converting this same kit into an FIA roadster. Here is that build thread.
  18. The car ran with auxiliary driving lights for Sebring. Lights are white metal items from the now defunct R&D Unique. Jack points are from HRM. Excuse the tape holding everything in place.
  19. Thanks bro'. Hope to see you Saturday.

    68 Dart

    Turned out great Andy.
  21. Thanks again gentlemen. I finally tracked down a set of Fred Cady Dragonsnake decals. They are not correct for "El Cid" but maybe I will build one of the team cars.
  22. Very nice.
  23. Thanks Rick. Yea the spare tire recess is fiberglass. I didn't super detail the underside of the chassis so I just painted it aluminum. I have also seen the underside painted black before.
  24. Thanks Maxx & Bruce. Here is the Under Glass post: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/111755-shelby-cobra-dragonsnake-–-csx2248-“el-cid”/
