  1. Here are the finished six piston brake calipers which i have scratch built for the brake rotors, two sets one for the front & for the rear.
  2. Right On ! Bang Your Head !
  3. Little more progress which is that I have finished up the scratch building the front brake calipers so next will be to clean them up a bit and shoot some primer on them and then shoot some color on them. I have also just about finished up the fitting of the rear trunk to the body with some sanding & filler so I think one more little session of sanding & primer then I should be ready to lay down some color finally. Before the color though I almost forgot that I need to hinge the rear trunk lid which this will be my first attempt of a hinged trunk lid.
  4. Ran into a little snag on the fit of this kit which is the fit of the rear trunk lid to the body and I noticed that the bottom of the trunk lid is not flush to the body & over hangs a bit so I will have a little body work to do on the trunk lid. This will be a easy fix but will set me back a bit today but I rather have this corrected now then notice it later after it is already painted. I have also started on another set of brake calipers for the front rotors that I should be able to finish up today also. Will post pictures hopefully later on today.
  5. Looks Awesome ! Nice clean build.
  6. Finally have the rear brake calipers shaped and painted so now I have to scratch build the front brake calipers. They don't look that great but I guess they will do.
  7. Was able to see this build in person Sat at the Canoga High Car & NNL Show & its just insane ! and the detail is just impeccable ! Awesome build John & it was good to see you my friend.
  8. Finally have a little time to work on the brake rotors & calipers tonight & I will post pictures soon.
  9. I think the count on the entries was around 200 cars.
  10. Was a great turn out today & hopefully this will turn out to be a yearly show.
  11. Looks Awesome ! I also have his kit that is in line for me to eventually build.
  12. Its been a good day today on the bench I started to form the brake calipers for the rear rotors & I finally have the exhaust finished for the Super Bee that I finished awhile back so its complete now for the show Oct 11. The brake calipers will take a bit of work but I'm really enjoying the time scratch building them. I will get some progress pictures of them up as I work on them and here is a picture of the Bee.
  13. Here is a little update on the Shelby build. Finally have the rear frame and the supports for the 4 link installed to the chassie and painted & with the rear differential & 4 link, next will be mocking up for the brake lines & scratch building the fittings. I also started on the rear disc setup which I'm using Detail Master drilled rotors & will also use a set on the front brake setup. I could not find any brake calipers to use with the brake rotors so I have decided to scratch build the calipers for the front & rear which you can see the start of the build of the calipers in the pictures and I finally have the body in primer but still undecided on the color. Well thats all for now on the Shelby Build so until next time keep on Building !! and thank you for looking !
  14. This build is really coming together !

  16. Looks Awesome Ira ! Can't wait to see it finished !
  17. I'll be watching this build !
  18. Awesome Build ! I have the Veneno to build but its on a long list with a few other builds.
  19. Looking Good Carl !
  20. I picked up the Tom Mcewen 57 Chevy Funny car a week ago and was wondering if anyone here has built this kit ? I know it is a reissue and it is on my list to get built sooner or later. Thank You
  21. Well I finally have the body in primer and nice and smooth ! I have shot the first coat of primer on the trunk lid and hood and they both will need some work to get them smooth and lined up with the body then I will install the hinge to the trunk which will be my first attempt at installing a hinge so until next time Keep On Building !
  22. Not much of an update since I have been having a little trouble getting the body smooth especially on the left upper front fender where the filler kept cracking but I think I have it licked now. I have filled all the front & rear gaps where the front & rear clips are glued to the body & i know on the front clip there should be a seam there but it just looks better to me with it smooth & no seam line. Will get some pictures up soon !
