Very creative and cool result. You do some impressive scratchbuilding.
-
Very nice and the pictures are awsome. I too was certain it was some photo edit program used. Assumptions suck lol.

I dont think this kit can be built any better, looks amazing and love the color.
-
Beautiful. The white decals and inside suit very well.
-
Very nicely done, great job on the interior.
-
Dont get much better then this. I really like the continental kit and uptop, and of coarse the colors.
-
Thanks for the suggestions Christopher. Will keep the grill as is,to much fuzz making a new one,and the grill is the least of my worries about this kit. Nice barn find btw.
-
Nice choice of engine and wheels. If you dont mind me asking, what kit offers this engine full detail,or is it resin?

It`s somthing of a turd compared to the 40-42,but it gives it more character imo.

Another project i have been pulling out of the box when waiting on parts for other project. You would think i had learned by now to get everything before i start somthing new. This was a idea that pop into my head a year ago,i`m not sure it is a good or bad idea yet. I had to lenghten and section the hood, lengthen the frame, section and adapt the front fenders and make them reach a little longer down at the rear, below the molding. Quite the challenge for a rookie as me,but so far so good. I have to try make some trim running forward on the hood,or remove the part from the donor (48 Revell Ford). I had in mind doing it mild custom, try make it look original beside having it a little bit lowered and use some tires with fat whitewalls. I found a flathead v12 on Ebay i want to use,it`s got some mild tuning look to it,tripple carbs and finned heads, it should be right around the corner so i can attempt making it fit. I`m also thinking dual exhaust, not with lakepipes, but coming out the back, the v8Ford only got one. I will be using Lincoln bumpers and the crome, also i want to try drill out the stock front lights and add buckets and glass,if i can find a decent donor. Well,it`s pretty ugly now,but hopefully it can be made into somthing in the end. This is just some rough mock up. Thanks for looking.

Those light are a huge improvement, great work. Love that upside down Benz v12 for the Bf 109. They make the most wonderful noise. -
Cool stuff you got going here. Excited to see more of the engine, very nice details

With the touch-up you mention it`s going to be perfect. I bet the guy will be thrilled to see it.

Somthing for the casters out there -
Little update. Did an attempt at making a holder for extra gauges, mounted the turbo and checked clearance for the inner fender. I covered parts of the inner fender with BMF for looking like heatshield. Started some plumbing, the battery will go in the trunk because of the intercooler pipe. I removed the headlight glass, then used utra chrome bmf on the inside, big improvement imo. But looking at referance photos, there are no blueprint on how this should be,some have tinted glass or black inside on 1:1 cars. Some mock up pictures. Thanks for looking.

Excuse all the grammar errors, what i meant is by 1970 GM and other should have realized somthing needed to be done. Jaguar and Mercedes Benz was smaller cars and more fuel efficient, and the lower weight also gave lot of performance for comparison. From 1970 to 1974 the size on Some Cadillac ,or all full size cars was more or less ridiculous. (I do think some are cool today lol). The era you refer to Cadillac was somthing of a status symbole, every head of state, kings and dictators own Cadillacs, even the comunists in Russia. Our King where i`m from had several Cadillac and Lincoln. Yeah you are right,it was a completely diffrent planet for a long time. I would say Rolls Royce is more fair to compare to the Mercedes Benz 600 "grosser",as for price and build quality, even if it`s just an old farm tractor under the skin

Just a theory but it seems like the American car industry did not realize the competition until it was to late 60s. The Japanese flooded the world with reliable and fuel efficient cars while America was making 8 liter v8 engines and cars the size of 3 Datsun Sunny`s. The industry seem to even have been beaten hard on its on soil before they even considered scaling down. It also looks to me Cadillac did not understand luxury, this or Cadillac/GM only planned to base they`re sales on in the US only. Bigger isnt always better.

Some nice products, this thread however made me certain not buy anything there.
