  1. Woooo weeeee! The 80's are back! By far the best Diorama setting with lights, with figures and with the Camaro as the center piece. It really pulls you in as to what could be the story in each scene. Fantastic all the way around! BTW...the mysterious woman in the brown leather jump suit with the camera is capturing all your secret techniques and sending them to me! Lol
  2. Would like to share a rare moment in modeling. A good friend passed on a 60 Phoenix 2dr promo from a coworker that acquired it and others from his father's estate. The coworker of my friend wasn't sure of what to do, either throw away the the collection ( I guess maybe the models and style/taste were from a different time or generation) or pass them on to someone else. Fortunately the coworker knew of my friend's modeling hobby, offered to which my friend said he would accept it all. Not really sure in total how many he recieved from his coworker but it was an assortment of mid 50's to early 60's. Buick, Pontiac, Chevrolet, Dodge and etc. mainly Promos'. Some pristine, some showing slight age & wear and but all showing a moment in time. In my small group of model buddies, I'm the Mopar. We got the Chevrolet, the Ford and we all enjoy some good nature ribbing and it is always a challenge to one up the other. My friend was very generous in gifting what he received from his young coworker and I, along with rest of our circle of modeling cohorts, truly appreciate and Thank him for his sharing. Back to the 1st paragraph when I recieved the 60 Phoenix 2dr. Definitely a promo that was molded in acetate plastic which has a tendency to warp over time. Unfortunately the drivers side and front have this effect and Unfortunately not much can be done in altering the condition, based on my research. No plans for restoration. The 4dr Phoenix is a Johan model. All standard features are the same with the exception of the 4dr has a somewhat detail chassis and no trim molding on the top of the front fender behind the headlights as to the 2dr having a basic standard "plate" chassis and top fender trim. That one I plan to restore... As I said...a rare moment that to me that was worth sharing in a hobby we all enjoy. Chuck
  3. Straighten them curves and flatten them hills...some day the mountain may git em but law never will...
  4. Always love a AMC build!
  5. Honestly, it looks better in person ( having personally seen it!). Your chassis/roll cage is as crisp as it comes!👍
  6. Many members have posted some awesome looking Moebius Wrecker kits so I thought I'd throw my wrench into the toolbox.... Great kit, plenty of extra parts and well worth building and having in any collection. Obviously there are parts trees that contain items from other year model ford trucks but what impressed me more were the few parts they duplicated in case you were trying to remove it from the tree and it either broke or flipped off into the Black hole of no return. A big life saver if one break. The only finicky part was concerning the wiring "the cables" to the Wrecker boom assembly......trying to guage the lenght of the hook cable. To low and the swing assembly and mounting arm almost point downward. Sufficient height of the main boom arm gives a little wiggle room to get the right lenght of "cable" to attach the hook which holds the swing assembly. In my case, not high enough but used hot water to create more of a natural sag and keep the mounting arms on the rear more perpendicular to the vehicle. Well gotta go! Got a call of a motorist running out of gas and needing help. Call (SH9-4303) Able Body Towing for your roadside assistance
  7. Another great save!
  8. Love it...love it more if you can post a few more pics! Other than the AMT 65 Modified Stocker OLDS I didn't know it existed in stock form.
  9. That's one smooth paint job! And kudos on your background diorama! Just proves that at any time or place, you can be on camera...even in 1/25 scale! Lol
  10. Bravo and a great save & restoration! Shouldn't have any problem parking that one at Fort Knox! Lol
  11. Love the color and and your version of black graphics package! Better than the OE graphics...
  12. As Samuel L. Jackson has proclaimed more than once, "M...... F.......!" (Mighty Fine!). Don't know why Hollywood keep dubbing in another more obscure urban translation..... Guess Samuel L. Jackson doesn't build models as good as you! 🤪 Chuck👍
  13. "A man can't have enuff Chargers and dab nab it!.... a man can't post enuff Chargers!" Grand papa always use to say that! Lol! Yeah..I saw that one at the Hemmings Auto Auction....except it was bigger! Post on Happy!
  14. Dr. Oldsmobile would be proud!
  15. You just proves what I been saying that others thought was impossible!....... You can put 10 lbs of Sugar in a 5 lbs bag! SWEET LOOKING!! (Pun intended)
  16. The cars in those days were what the spectators and fans could personally related to. Didn't take much imagination to see the same car on the road as your favorite driver drove and that need for speed would sink down to the accelerator pedal. Eye popping color scheme on a great build!
  17. Marvelous looking build! Always want to see true Nascar Thunder Chariots!!
  18. THUD! ( jaw hitting floor). Definitely have to , no! going to get me one!
  19. I just been notified that I have made the lofty status of MCM Ohana inwhich I started my forum trek in 2013. Befitting this honor is that 1961 is my favorite year (you can make your own inferences...) and also it was on a fellow Mopar enthusiast, Mopar2's post. Not that I don't have "family" in other manufacturers but I have to be honest...."I do like all Manufacturers.....but I like Mopar more". To all who have made comments on my posting, a sincere Thank You! To all that I've have made comments on their posts, you have been a true friend in letting others and me enjoy your creativity and friendship and look forward to your next post. Sincerely Chuck "Satterwhite78"
  20. Awesome looking. Pontiac had one of the most visually eye catching tri-color interior scheme of the early 60's!
  21. Working on my AMT 65 GTO. The Goat looks great especially with the engine, mine is more of the promo build.
  22. I remember having that kit! Looks better than what mine turned out at that time!
  23. Definitely digging the 70's retro vibe!
