  1. I have seen some very nice SSR models. This one has to be near the top of that list. Great color choices.
  2. Thanks guys! It always puts a smile on my face when talented guys on this board like you take a minute to post a comment on my models .
  3. My wife and I looked at a 1:1 of these in this color, (macadamia metallic), and seriously contemplated buying it. It was soooooo gorgeous. It had 600 miles on it and I swear I heard it calling my name. The WIP can be seen here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=86035 Here is the finished model. Depending on my lighting the model looks glossy or more on the satin side. It is glossy. Hope you like it!
  4. WOW, very cool model Drew! Definitely an attention getter . Love the whole paint scheme.
  5. Nice save Nick! The grill really grabs your eye, great job on it.
  6. Thanks Jonathan. The trim rings, dash and steering wheel are all painted free hand. Small brush and lots of magnification. Oh yeah, no coffee! Whenever I get a little paint "outside the lines" I let it dry and then take a sharpened toothpick and scrape it away. I find that toothpicks are soft enough to not scratch the base paint.
  7. Thanks Bob!
  8. Marcos, I believe you have just set the standard for anyone building this kit. Top notch!
  9. Stunning amount of detail, and so well done. VERY nice!
  10. Next up, I have painted the body. The metallic flakes look huge due to the close up picture. As seen with the naked eye it looks quite nice. First few pictures are of the painted but untouched body. Here is what is looks like after a little elbow grease and TLC. Thanks for looking. I'll post pics of the finished model in the "Under Glass" section in a couple of days.
  11. She looks ready to rumble Oscar. Nice job!
  12. Looking at this one just puts a smile on my face. Lots of neat detail, clean build, good pictures and cool subject plus you tell us about the work you've done. Couldn't ask for more.
  13. I really like these cars. It is nice to see one with a different livery than the kit supplied ones. Looks like you nailed it!
  14. What a cool model! Nice job Ray!
  15. Beautiful model!!
  16. On to the interior. The glass was one piece. I painted the "headliner" and posts interior color. I had to paint portions of the inside of the body shell to match the interior.
  17. Nice job Sean. What a clean build!
  18. GORGEOUS!!!
  19. Very nice. Great color. All three models look top notch.

Very cool build Jonathan. That color looks great!
  21. Cool! I'll be watching this one Jonathan!
  22. Hey Al, I think she looks great! I really like the color you chose for it. I also think it was pretty cool of JT to come up with the info. in his post.
  23. I have a number of models that I bulit before joining this forum. I had taken WIP pictures for another board. I thought I would go ahead and share them here. So to be clear, this model is complete but I thought maybe someone would like to see these WIP pics. I will add more pics every few days. I will then post the finished product in the Under Glass section. Here is the kit. I drilled out every single hole on all four rotors and painted. The chassis had a lot of the detail molded in. Here it is with no detailing. Beginning to detail paint. A little more. And a little bit more. (I just noticed I have some incorrectly mounted tires.)
  24. That is such a clean build. VERY nice.
