  1. Thanks guys!
  2. I'm right there with you Richard. There is usually a good showing from the guys from WV. The group that I am normally with decided not to make the trip due to the weather. We were just out to the Columbus show a couple of weekends ago and dealt with horrible roads and snow. While you are out on the roads like that you ask yourself "what the heck am I doing?" I think that the memory is fresh enough to make us cautious this time. I hope there is still a good turn out for the show. EDIT: About 30 minutes after the above post, my wife looked outside and it is sleeting outside hard. Glad I am sitting in my house and not on the interstate.
  3. Gorgeous model and outstanding photography. A winning combination every time!
  4. It looks good both clean and dirty! After seeing this built up a few times, I am liking it more and more. I may just have to pick on up.
  5. What can I say that hasn't been said already? Very nice!
  6. You don't see these two models very often. It is good to see them again. You did a very nice job on them. Great job on the painting of the red, gray and black areas.
  7. I think it looks great Larry. Nice detail on the chassis and engine compartment.
  8. Thanks again! I appreciate it.
  9. I have seen some very nice SSR models. This one has to be near the top of that list. Great color choices.
  10. Thanks guys! It always puts a smile on my face when talented guys on this board like you take a minute to post a comment on my models .
  11. My wife and I looked at a 1:1 of these in this color, (macadamia metallic), and seriously contemplated buying it. It was soooooo gorgeous. It had 600 miles on it and I swear I heard it calling my name. The WIP can be seen here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=86035 Here is the finished model. Depending on my lighting the model looks glossy or more on the satin side. It is glossy. Hope you like it!
  12. WOW, very cool model Drew! Definitely an attention getter . Love the whole paint scheme.
  13. Nice save Nick! The grill really grabs your eye, great job on it.
  14. Thanks Jonathan. The trim rings, dash and steering wheel are all painted free hand. Small brush and lots of magnification. Oh yeah, no coffee! Whenever I get a little paint "outside the lines" I let it dry and then take a sharpened toothpick and scrape it away. I find that toothpicks are soft enough to not scratch the base paint.
  15. Thanks Bob!
  16. Marcos, I believe you have just set the standard for anyone building this kit. Top notch!
  17. Stunning amount of detail, and so well done. VERY nice!
  18. Next up, I have painted the body. The metallic flakes look huge due to the close up picture. As seen with the naked eye it looks quite nice. First few pictures are of the painted but untouched body. Here is what is looks like after a little elbow grease and TLC. Thanks for looking. I'll post pics of the finished model in the "Under Glass" section in a couple of days.
  19. She looks ready to rumble Oscar. Nice job!
  20. Looking at this one just puts a smile on my face. Lots of neat detail, clean build, good pictures and cool subject plus you tell us about the work you've done. Couldn't ask for more.
  21. I really like these cars. It is nice to see one with a different livery than the kit supplied ones. Looks like you nailed it!
  22. What a cool model! Nice job Ray!
  23. Beautiful model!!
  24. On to the interior. The glass was one piece. I painted the "headliner" and posts interior color. I had to paint portions of the inside of the body shell to match the interior.
