  1. Thanks for the kind words! Bill is correct. The decals came out well but definitely were tricky. I painted the front suspension, put it in place, glued the body halves, filled and sanded the seam. If I hadn't, I think the decals would have amplified the seam. I am pleased with how it all turned out.
  2. I am really liking that Jordan. I am with you, there were some good looking F1 cars in that era. I have this kit in my stash. I hope I can pull it off as well as you did. It is funny, my first post here was also a Jordan. It was the 197 "Bitten and Hisses". You can search on "Jordan" and find it if you want.
  3. Hi Adam! I'm more interested in your avatar. I worked at a Red Owl in my high school years. This was in a small town in North Dakota. I don't suppose there are too many people on here that have ever heard of Red Owl. Sadly, my home town store is no more.
  4. Another beauty OC. I would never have noticed the stripes. Actually, I still can't see what you fixed....a sure sign of great work.
  5. Always like seeing your builds OC. Thanks for sharing them!
  6. Looks like she just pulled off the track. The background looks interesting too.
  7. Looks good to me Tony!
  8. I think it looks great Ken! That first picture is the money shot.
  9. She is gorgeous! I think Skip summed it up perfectly. Thanks for sharing!
  10. This was the first model my daughter built. It was a vehicle she could relate to. It was something familiar to her. She was quite proud of it. I'm not sure if she even remembers it now but I have it tucked away for her and will give it to her someday.
  11. I've been following this build. It is looking nice Seth!

    1941 Willys

That is a sweet build Bob! Great color and stance.
  13. Thanks again for the comments guys. I do appreciate them. Glad to see there are some open wheel fans out there .

    Ferrari F430

I like the color choice. The carbon fiber work looks good too!
  15. How cool is that!?! Nice job Norbert.
  16. Thanks for the comments guys! Tom - I have all but one, (I believe). They are not bad kits. I know exactly which Kool car you are talking about. Very "cool"! Harry - They are indeed the kit decals. I went with the rain tires just to have something different.
  17. I won't make a comment on each one, but man you guys are doing some nice work here. I've gotta jump in soon. I'm feeling like a real slacker. Keep the updates coming guys!
  18. I wanted to post this last weekend for the Indy 500 but did not get to. Better late then never, as they say. You don't see many open wheeled cars here so I thought I would share this one. This is an old build, done many years ago. This car was my first, and to date, only car that was airbrushed. Nothing special, built straight out of the box. Sorry for the picture quality.
  19. I double checked to make sure I wasn't reading a new "Real or Model?" posting She looks great Harry.
  20. Juan, these two look great!!!! I have always liked this car and you did one fine job on both of them. Too, (two), cool
  21. Tomo, John is absolutely spot on with his advice about taking pictures. In this day and age it seems like just about everything has a camera in it so taking pictures should not be a problem. I only have three or four pictures of my first car, none of them very good. I really wish I had more pictures of that car. And Tomo you can apply this advice to more things than just your car. People, pets, places, etc. Shoot, I wish I had pictures of all of the bicycles I had as a kid, as well as toys, models and so on. Things are very clear and crisp in your memory now but give it a few decades and the memories and images in your mind will not be so sharp. (Holy cow, I really do sound like an old man, don't I? )
  22. Congrats Tomo!! Just about any car, when it is your first car, is a good thing. How much better when it is the car you wanted! Good luck with the restoration and keep us posted on your progress.
  23. Me too! I'll have them on the tube. Not sure if I'll watch every minute of every race but I'll catch a lot of them .
  24. Nice Vette(s) Steve! I agree with o-man, hard to tell the model from the real one.
