I like the photography as much as I like the model . Great job on both of them!
  2. She is looking good Bruce! I had a heck of a time with the exhausts on my '78 Lotus. Every now and then, when I was dry fitting them, they would just seem to fall into place. But most of the time they did not. This included when I was doing my final fitting and glueing. Ended up breaking one to two and had to pin them. As always, good luck with your build!
  3. A great looking model, Bill. Interior and engine bay both look good!
  4. I think you have a winner there, Dave! Nice color combo. Very nice.
  5. I will be following this one. It looks like you are killing it so far. These large scale kits just beg to be detailed. I finished the '78 Lotus just under a year ago. It was a great model. Some of the larger body panels and longer pieces were warped. Something you may need to look out for. Good luck and keep up the good work!!
  6. Another nice one, OC!
  7. I have always liked this model, although I have not built it yet. When I do, I hope I do as nice of a job with it as you did!
  8. Geez, now that is talent! Love the cable car picture too. How long does it take you to do one of these?
  9. That is a beauty for sure, Tim. I think everything works together very well on it. Great job!
  10. It was good to finally meet you, Rich. And don't be so modest, you took home three People's Choice awards and a Best Of. I got to see your models first hand, and man-o-man, are they nice!
  11. Very nice, Shane!
  12. You can. Are you talking about small parts or painting a body? More often than not, you will get better results with primer. Primer will show imperfections that can be repaired before the color coats go on.

This is a great example of outstanding execution of a very cool concept. I for one would love to see more pictures. Maybe in some natural lighting. The paint looks interesting.
  14. There will be at least three of us heading up from WV. Jeff, Richard and Nate, I would like to meet you guys and put a face with the name. I will probably have a name tag on as I am helping a vendor. Best guess is I will have a gray Earnhardt sweatshirt on.
  15. Because I am rather dim witted, this is your work? Holy moly, that is OUTSTANDING!!! What I wouldn't give to have a fraction of your talent. I love well done pencil drawings probably more than any other type of art, not sure why, but I do. That is just about as close to photo-realistic as it gets. PLEASE, if you have other work, share it with us!
  16. Hey Curtis, what is up with the decals? Is it that they would not settle down? I know some of the rally kits' decals would not lay down and then they would end of cracking. Thanks.
  17. Great job on the dash, Tomo. A lot of nice detail painting there. May I suggest that you hit the tread of your tires with sandpaper or a sanding stick. It will knock off the flash in the middle of the tread.
  18. Beautiful old Ford. You did a great job on this one, John.
  19. Very nice model, Tomo. I like the engine shot. The whole model looks very cleanly built.
  20. They both look great, Shane! I think the ZZ Top looks better than the original.
  21. I'm glad you posted it. I think it came out just fine and looks pretty darn good!
  22. "Thank you everyone who helped me out today! Very happy with the outcome!" That is the most important thing, Steve. Glad it came out well for you!
  23. If the body is in good shape, I would start fairly high, say, 6000. If you have to knock down some mold lines you may need to start a little coarser. The plastic should be smooth right out of the box and not need a lot of work. You should have some sort of polishing compound in the LMG kit. This or Novus is what I use for the final touch.
