  1. Picked up this kit yesterday, http://www.plastik-modellbau.org/blog/neuheiten-vorgestellt-vw-t1-transporter-von-revell-im-masstab-124/2013/
  2. Roadrunner on their 2000ish '71 Charger tooling? What could be carried over and what parts would need to be newly designed? Please when answering take your time to collect data and don't guess, maybe info like this can be dispensed to the right people at Round2 Thanks and enjoy your weekend! Best regards Luc
  3. Maybe also because of sticker shock as the Revell version here (Belgium) of that kit has a MSRP of 70 Euro ($95). But now I see them priced at a local Toy chain store for 55 Euro ($74)
  4. I doubt it, think the tooling was altered, first for the SVO and then for the '83 'vert, then the Monkees mobile, then the '89, 90,91 and '92 annuals, and then a '93 Cobra...
  5. It's a very exiting technology but unless you're part of a big toy manufacturer which can spread the investment over several product-lines, it's far too expensive for such a niche market as ours, some die hard modelers would pay premium for model kits, but doubt that the weekend modeller will follow and those guys still buy the bulk of the kits.
  6. A heating maintenance tech at a local HVAC company
  7. Haven't picked up anything new since the '57 Ford police car....maybe towards years end I'll be ably to buy Revell's '62 'vette Drag car, '50 Merc wagon and the '70 'cuda.
  8. I got the first and second edition of this kit an also a later flashy edition, just because I learned that it was the ultimate engineered kit by John Haendle, a guy who I would loved to have talked with.
  9. As former Opel employee, I just have to post this... Review: http://www.wettringer-modellbauforum.de/forum/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=49324 and Photo:
  10. Not really a fan of a brand, but of certain people, who try to get the best product on the shelf and while the quality may vary, I know they did their best though n my teenage years .I was a real fan of Monogram
  11. Mpc '70s Dodge pickup's and Van's Another vintage kit I've got multiples of, is the Dodge Force 440 police car
  12. Dunno, but maybe it's cheaper to send an actual car to China and throw in a exploded view for the parts breakdown. The only question would be, if the car would be a total loss when the Chinese engineers are done with it
  13. What's inside the box... http://www.wettringer-modellbauforum.de/forum/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=49315
  14. I you ever decide to build one simmilar, I can provide you with lots of reference photo's, PM me Thanks
  15. They didn't design the '70 and '69 at the same time and I think that's why the marquee of the '69 didn't turn out that well. So IMHO Revell will have to tool up an whole new body to get then both right and in the same scale too. Anyway...a '69 Boss 302, would be nice to have.
  16. Think they would do good with a chrome trees parts pack, sold trough their website to replace some of Ertl era terrible chrome that came out of the Dyersville and Mexican plant. Have a '66 Nova here, that could use a new chrome tree.
  17. Not really, I for instance like mild street machines like the Firebird in my initial post, it' just that most of the time when hearing about the '70s it's a decade best forgotten auto wise, I disagree and wanted to know how you guys feel about it all. Thanks all for your replies, it's been fun read. Luc
  18. Photo credit, Six Pack (FB screen name) Yeah...the engine up that high would be unsafe at any speed, heck even when parked LOL
  19. Nope RC2, leaning curve (or whatever they called themselves) who owned Amt/Ertl/Mpc/Polar Lights at the time announced it.
  20. Was browsing facebook and noticed this open group called " '70s Street machines " https://www.facebook.com/groups/456235534422504/ And I remembered the Mpc kits of the late '70s early '80s, of which many represented that kind of automotive customizing, today I don't see many of this type of kits on the shop shelves, so wonder if you guys are still ashamed of the '70s, or do you still dig these kits and wouldn't say no if this building style would be offered again with newly tooled models? Thanks Photo courtesy of John Gardoski
  21. Oh yeah, rub it in for us outside the US, even with the low rate of the USD vs the Euro the American kits remain expensive. And shipping costs when buying in the US also has gone through the roof. Oh well...glad Revell Germany is reboxing some US kits...
  22. Wonder if Revell would be interested into doing this with their '57 or the '56 Chevy... Photo courtesy of Jason Robinson ( '70s Street Machines open facebook group) https://www.facebook.com/groups/456235534422504/ Reminds me of a Matchbox car I had in the '80s.... Ps. I know of the Mpc kit.
  23. The round taillights on the '72 totally destroy the coolness IMHO and turn the muscle car into a granny-mobile So I prefer the '70 & '71 models and do not care about the '72 and '73, hence me not having the mpc snapper.
  24. can't answer, but just love the art of the top box.
