I agree, but what's more important is, who's voting, a cross section of model kit buyers/builders, or only the lunatic fringe?

From the Revell Germany "share your dream" site.... Share your dream! We receive exciting ideas and suggestions for new models the whole year. Of course we are happy to receive them. But what do the other model makers think of your idea? Do they share your dream? We would like to give your ideas the room they deserve. Use the opportunity to present them to an interested audience! This platform serves to collect and to evaluate ideas. All creative and serious ideas are welcome. There are no limits to the varieties of topics. You can present your dream model here in detail with texts and pictures. Do you already have an idea how it can be practically implemented? Which scale would you prefer? Should it be more of a model for beginner model makers or is it an interesting topic for experienced hobbyists? And of course we are also very interested in what the other uses of this site think of this suggestion. How many of you share this dream? Don’t have any ideas? Here you can certainly find new motivation or you think the ideas of the other model makers are so exciting that you want to support them. The ideas with the most likes make us especially curious. We don’t know if your dream will become reality, but we promise that your idea will not be lost here and that we check each one individually. http://ideas.revell.de/article/wp/about/

Isn't every all new release one? Maybe with the big marts out of the picture it's much harder finding out what to do next, if such a site helps, more power to it, an additional tool for the spin doctors at Revell...

It all depends on who is listing and voting, are they the same people who voted and mailed in their wish list tot the hobby magazines, or is this more of a cross section, of modelers from every walk of life, be it die-hard's like us or the occasional weekend modeler, think it would work best, if every Revell kit includes the link to the site on the instruction sheet, on their corporate website, facebook and other social media...but that's just my humble opinion. But as Rob, said a couple post prior, they should implement more catagories to make the site navigation easier. The biggest concern is fair play, but tink the IT gurus will sift out the bogus votes...

Maybe, maybe not... Some American cars are big in Europe too and from what I always heard, kits of US trucks sell better in the old continent then in the new world.... Also subjects which were featured in TV shows or movies, could have an appeal outside the US borders..... think outside the box or step outside the boundaries, there are car guys all over the world.

Train wreck?, dunno just guessing

I've added some subjects and putting in votes, so doing my part ;^) I also try to motivate my suggestions if I can, if one of you guys come across one of my postings and wish to add some info please do.

The Monogram F250/F350 kits.. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=29730&p=290231 -
Hmm... Looks like when making a suggestion you realy need to defend your proposal, kinda like the 250K question (but without the guidelines) Maybe when having some spare time I'll. send in an idea...Ford Capri Mk1, Ford lotus Cortina, '69 Opel Commodore GSE, '79 Opel Kadett GT/E coupe rally late '70s early "80s Opel Manta/Ascona 400 rally, '90s Ford Sierra Cosworth (sedan), late '60s early '70s Ford Transit and Bedford Van's....oh well too many to narrow down to just one...

Always been a fan of Monogram kits, but when I first saw that kit back in the day, I thought they goofed with the headlamps.

Not too fond of that kit, think the windshield lays too far back, because of the vent windows look tiny almost 1/25th scale like, sold mine because of that.

And IIRC only this one and the reissues that came after it have the right grille -
Love the choice of color and like Mike Hammer, "I'm gonna take a note" and slip it in my kit, when it arrives..

À custom convertible with carson top maybe?

Only if it's a mediocre kit LOL All kidding aside, do hope the good people of Stevens, get and are allowed to show an advance copy on the relevant boards...

Question or rather remark, to me it looks like this axle set up, would be ideal to be used for wrecker bodies. If so, wouldn't it be neat, if Round2 would to tool up, a new wrecker body for this kit? ;^)

Scale model inaccuracies
Luc Janssens replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yes it is and sorry to hear. I wrapped my remark in a joke, so I wouldn't offend, I just had a hard time trying to read your posts, so sometimes skipped them. thanks for adjusting Luc -
Scale model inaccuracies

It doesn't need to be, when people really listen, there will be an understanding, which means that we can understand the viewpoint of opposing parties. But then again drama sells LOL -

First post in this section, say's a lot about me LOL
Luc Janssens replied to Luc Janssens's topic in WIP: Model Cars
nope, sort of a rat rod, flat black, back on the road after years on the salvage yard ;^) Just having fun with a box full of styreen parts -
Anyway, there must be something wrong with me, so many great detailed kits out there and I'm playing with this one, it's still in a mock-up stage (needs a final coat of flat black) Did a lot of filing, grinding and sanding to get the misaligned body of this '90s release presentable, also had to make a new drip-rail for the left side, hopefully the mold alignment is better on the recent re-release. It also looks like, the windshield is going to end up in the recycle bin as is the engine, to me Revell in the California era, had some great ideas, but once the concept went into the tooling stages, it got mediocre at best. The chrome buckets for the headlamps come from an Italeri truck accessories kit, the wheels and tires from the Modelhaus.
