  2. we are in Hamilton, Ontario....about 2 hours from Barrie....can we help here....the ace...
  3. hi to all tonite....I know the experts in our forum will be able to advise here,,,will the 390 t bird engine from the 34 ford truck kits of AMT and LINDBERG basically drop into the 53 ford f100 setup without a great deal of problem...I have something in mind, but before I get deeply involved, I would love to hear from the boys on this one...regards, the ace..
  4. maybe 25 or so....sold all the juicy stuff back in the late 90s.....and 25 or 30 is about a hundred year supply at the rate I build...lol....the ace...
  5. ,,,,,,,,,,,oh, I forgot, the AMT awb funny cars of the nova, falcon, tempest,,,and especially the super boss mustang awb that was reissued last summer. guilty or not guilty, my lawyer can figure that one out, but no matter how many you have,,,its not enough...the ace....

  10. .....sorry now I started this thread.....a simple question re. this or that for clear spray opinions, has turned into another life story on 89 paint subjects and god knows what else. this is reason I rarely ask many questions on the forum,,,,,the ace...
  11. I have always used Tamiya clear and their pearl clear and like the shine and quality....but I wanted to ask the crowd what they think of the testors wet look clear. I am starting a car that I will be spraying testors diamond dust silver, and need opinions on this....thanks boys, the ace....

  14. thanks to you, Billy, for your kind remarks. just hope I can keep motivated to build something, as my work bench has been void of much action lately. comments such as yours make it easier to get things going again......best regards, the ace...
  15. hi there bill, the decals are tricky to work with,,,as they are very thin, and as you said they dry up rather quickly. my build of this is in the drag cars section, and as I recall making sure that the car is soaked in warm water was how I moved the decals in place. sorry,,,hope this may help....the ace....
  16. .........dozens are guilty pleasures, however the AMT modified stockers,,,and the MPC Twister vegas and MPC pro stock vegas would be some that qualify. but most all of the kits I like are from that old school era, and do not come up to todays hi tech standards. glad they don't ..sometimes a simple, easy kit is a real pleasure...and that's nothing to feel guilty about ...love them regardless........the ace.....
  17. hi snake,,,,your 69 Camaros do look great, and I would bet they were a blast to build too. might have to grab one of those black 69s from the net. anyhow, your 3 look neat sitting together.................the ace........
  18. ....boy, there is many that come to mind, but one of the worst ever, and i always seem to buy, are MPC twister vegas and MPC pro stock vegas like USA 1 and American spirit. they are terrible by the standards of today, however built clean and crisp, they do look great in any display. I will buy at least 2 of the USA 1 once released by Round2 . there...I said it... i'm guilty of liking them...lol....the ace...
  19. ....looks great, very clean and neat. I luv those AMT mod stockers too.........terrific work here..............the ace..
  20. hi mike, ....still have it available for a collector that's interested. I will never built it, so it sits in the EXTRAS pile. thanks...the ace...
  21. thank you, andy, for your nice comment.....the ace...
  22. ....I cannot supply photos, but how about a 71 thru 76 firebird, 73 duster annual , sox and martin and mopar missle dusters, gapp and roush pinto, landys challenger, any or all 67-70 era mpc funny cars, 69 mach 1 annual Jerry Harvey super stock,,,,,,and on and on.......just my thoughts...the ace....
  23. thanks, dan, for your comment. oh, andy, re. those vette wheels....I found that all the sets I have in my other 3 sock it to me vettes suffer from being a bit rough around the edges. all can be fixed up a little, and still quite useable. I do not have other amt 62 vette issues to compare, but will suffer along with these..lol........the ace.......
  24. ........all your comments are mostly positive re. his decals....that's great to hear, and thanks for your input , gents............the ace....
  25. ....I ask again....does anyone know if the 69 cuda Stevens is reissuing will have the annual 69 box art and decal sheet from the original....would be great to see that after 45 years or so.....any thoughts, boys....the ace//////
