well, Dave,,,,you could trim the 76 stripes, however you may loose your outer pinstripe by doing this, unless you play around piecing one together.... how do you solve this...well, buy an aftermarket decal from gooche, as they make the 74-75 hockey sticks in red and black,,,,or, build a 76 instead, using one of the 3 on that sheet, or lastly, build your 75 in white, thus the red hockey sticks will be perfect.....by the way, we have a gremlin build off starting up using the 75 or 76 amt kits...interested in jumping in with the other 6 or 7 guys committed now....the ace..........oh, no questions are dumb , by the way,,all of us have concerns about kits and subject we are not sure of.....

Rob, they look great, and sometimes looking back at the way many of us enjoyed building, it could be even more fun....those Chargers are cool....the ace....

ok, for those interested, we have finalized our guidelines for this gremlin build off...1-kit used as mentioned prior can be either the 75 or 76 AMT GREMLIN X issue that is currently available..2- spark plug wires added if you wish , 3- wheel / tires of the builders choice, 4- exhaust modification to dual exhaust setups for street machines,,and-5 any decals of your choice.........that's it for changes to otherwise an out of box build. of course any paints, plastic building Evergreen and such, and BMF are the builders choices. the start date is SEPTEMBER 1ST, and that runs the full month to OCTOBER 1ST . that allows plenty of time to buy the model, if need be, and time for completing your model. also, you can post pictures in progress within this thread, if you wish. I know many would enjoy that....ok, any other questions please contact Mike or myself,,,and lets get this GREMLIN BUILD OFF started......remember,,,stock, drag, street machine, rust bucket,anything you desire for this build......thanks to all.....the ace............

Lee, to keep the idea of a community build, limiting the same model kit used levels the playing field for everyone....the AMT 75-76 Gremlin kit is a very common one, as you know, so we felt it a good starting point to be built several ways, with several options and nice decals....very few of the members will have the diecast kit you have, and keep in mind, this is not a contest here,,,just a way to enjoy each build as the same kit spun many ways. please do not be offended..that was never my intention to anyone....if you have the AMT plastic kit, please jump in with us............the ace........

not really a funny car fan,,,,however the model king issue that is shown above has more bang for the buck as far as the decal sheet goes,,,its a beauty in that department....i bet that the COLOR ME GONE is up next......the ace.......

.....why don't you build a diecast one regardless, and let the rest that want to build a real, plastic model car, as I suggested we do...oh, as for the poo pooed you refer to, well, using a diecast instead of a real kit,,,,that pretty much sums that up....

....most happy to throw that out there, because if, as you mention, Robert,,,one was planning a build to use these on another color, all that planning and work may end up a big disappointment once those stripes were laid onto your chosen paint job. the 76 gremlin kit, as you certainly know, has the 3 colors to choose from, and they do not suffer from the same problem. not sure if an aftermarket decal maker offers other Gremlin striping, but maybe we should lobby for it.....the sad part is that those AMT decals are such nice quality, however a white car is really the only answer if those red guys are slapped on....the ace......
