Don’t get me wrong a mid to late 70s stock car kit is the best thing in the world to me. Just do it right. Don’t be 1973 MPC all over again. A universal chassis to do multiple 70sstock cars with would be a rear steer coil spring frt. with truck arms and coils out back. I can fix the body line issue in twenty minutes. Give me the correct bumper and chassis please! I will buy tons of your kits if they are correct. That’s a promise.

Once I get the rims you sent me on it. It will look way better. Have to send the bumpers out too.

Here’s the picture that irritates me. All you (The kit maker) had to do is take one look at this picture and then look at your bumper. Ifs stinking wrong period. All we have now is all we had for years now. A somewhat Nascarish body with a wrong chassis. We still have to buy another kit to get the right suspension. I’ve done this for years to get a sorta accurate 70s NASCAR chassis. It’s plain silly. Before you make a model PLEASE PLEASE take more than a passing glance at the real thing!

Ok what is the error then? The one I knew about was the birds.

I think the bodyline is always there but doesn’t show well in pictures. At least it doesn’t have the more sculptured sides of a 73-75 car. What bothers me is the 75 rear bumper. And why is it no one can look underneath a Banjo Matthews car to see what it looks like BEFORE making the model. The same chassis could be made for almost all the Ford and GM cars from 73-80. What they have done MPC did 46 years ago. Put the wrong chassis under it. How hard would it be to do it right versus wrong? The tooling costs can’t be much different!

I sanded the pinstripes before I cleared it. I know about the Skylark bird that shouldn’t be on a GS. But I like it on there. My dad had a 67 Skylark and I always liked the bird. Got a little further on it. Looks better on redlines .

The pictures loaded wierd. When I got the car it had no paint on it. The body was near perfect though. Too bad the interior was all messed up. I painted it Shadow Turquoise. Still have to polish it. I may paint the rockers black. These cars looked cool that way.

That’s a Lesabre for sure. Wildcat had big fender gills behind the front tires.

Restoring this bomb. The body was beautiful. Someone glued felt all over the seats and floor. Did the best I could to save the seats. Scratchbuilt both manual trans consoles. Coming along pretty good.

This doesn’t look that bad. Are you sure it’s a Palmer?
