  1. Super clean, well detailed (2thumsup)
  2. About this dusty, take some of the shine off with Tamiya Weathering powders
  3. I cut up the kit's dashboard, added some flat stock sheet styrene, gauge decals from a Revell 1970 Challenger, and bezels cut from 1/8" (3mm) aluminum tube and a couple drops of Tamiya clear gloss. I will torture myself by adding 6 toggle switches later... I added dust caps to the front wheels using punched beer can metal and added an electric fan up front. Carb from Joseph at Fireball as well She's sitting on all 4 paws. Out of the paint booth Built up some KC fog lights from the '32 5-window coupe kit..thinking of using the p/e loom bracket (lower left on the tree) as mounting brackets. Lots of little details to fab before this one is done. Cheers all
  4. Just read through your build Pierre and wanted to thank you for sending the bug that has just bitten me...lol Love to watch a great scratchbuild happening .. Keep it up πŸ‘πŸ‘
  5. Pretty much snowed in now so, back to the Bronco.. Primed with Duplicolor white sandable primer, then Duplicolor gloss white Acry/Laq. Masking tomorrow and shooting the red. Bent up the brush guard out of 1/16' alu tube with copper wire inserted to prevent kinking. Have most of a small block Ford engine to goin, cut in the exhaust side exits.. More to come as it happens.
  6. Wow ...what a transformation Pat !! From a Charger to a Duster just like that ...Amazing !....lol I'm thinkin maybe I should join this race this year...I've got some proper era stuff around here somewhere.....
  7. Beauty renewed ! Nice job cleaning that up πŸ‘πŸ‘
  8. Thanks guys. πŸ‘ Best thing is, it gave me the bug to get some of my floundering builds back up on the bench !
  9. Really nice finish on the Porsche John I love the Hasegawa 962s so many beautiful liveries
  10. Very nicely done Pierre, as others have said the decals over the louvers look great!
  11. Just finished this one, 1998 Mclaren MP4/13. I liked the presentation car livery and it's not often you get to build an orange car..and I really didn't want the head ache of the actual livery... David Coulthard and Mika Hakkinen drove this to much success in 1998 winning the constructor's title for McLaren for the first time in 7 years. Here they are with the presentation car So anyways on to the build Paint is Craftsmart from Micheals custom mixed, thinned and airbrushed..clear coat is airbrushed Pledge (Future) 3 coats. The "carbon fibre is just gloss black with a dusting of gold sprayed very lightly into the spray booth not at the part...lol Mostly out of box except for a few extra wires and an additional rear wing element. Fun build, no headaches. Thanks for checking it out...Cheers
  12. Finally got Jimmy's pickem up truck done...after 2 failed paint jobs and robbing 3 kits of their chrome bits... I was in such a rush to complete it, I didn't really get any good close ups of it ,...anyway, here ya go This is the real truck with Jaguar frost blue paint Paint is Craftsmart from Micheal's thinned and shot through airbrush, and 3 coats of Duplicolor Acrylic Enamel clear. The front spears on the hood are thin strips of evergreen BMF'd Thanks Jason (68shortfleet) for the '41 dash ..and Duane Garner for the banjo steering wheel πŸ‘
  13. After a 2 day thrash at this, I took it out to my bud and he was happy with the colour πŸ‘ More pics and explanation over in Under Glass ...maybe
  14. Congratulations Harald !! Front cover no less..way to go brother ! Well done on the diorama.. amazing the banks on those tracks
  15. I've watched a bunch of Kenji's builds and he is awesome in the scratchbuilding departmentπŸ‘
  16. Another Jurva classic !! πŸ‘
  17. Those look like parts pak tires...I have 4 unlettered ones.... PM me if you still need em
  18. Nice attention to detail thereπŸ‘πŸ‘
  19. Thanks 3rd times the charm they say, I tried the JAG paint ...too hot..stripped everything with Dot 3 and started over.. couldn't decide on the proper colour, so ...White Duplicolor primer to start, then after searching Crappy Tire for about 6 Months.. Hyundai frost blue is not available.. I looked in my Craft Smart stash and lo and behold.... Frost blue craftsmart #514144.. Thinned it 1 part paint , 5 parts tap water, 1/8th part Liquitex flow aid and shot it with 18 psi .5 needle ..4 light coats. when it dried it felt like 1000g sandpaper... so I deliberated on Future, or Alclad Aqua gloss clear or just hit it with Duplicolor acrylic enamel or acrylic lacquer.. I think its much closer to Jimmy's truck colour
  20. Fantastic ! Love what you've done with thisπŸ‘πŸ‘
