  1. Another great build. I’m so glad to see you back. I totally understand how life gets in the way. Looking forward to seeing more of your work. How are the V8 cabover builds? I remember those being great projects in the works.
  2. Where to I start? It’s fantastic. Even an air dryer and reflectors on the lug nut covers! I don’t think non-truck builders can fully appreciate the level of modifications one needs to do in order to properly represent a truck like this one. Cab width, grille, headlights, suspension…the list goes on and on. Even the correct aftermarket drive tires. Not to mention, the engine and all of its associated modified parts and details. In most cases, kit manufactures only get us only halfway there. I love it when I see a build go all the way!
  3. Love the look. Great to see a nice cab and chassis stretch. Not very many people put in the the effort required to make a 110” 352. Nice.
  4. Nice work with this one. You don’t see that many Superliners here in the forum, let alone one dressed up so classy. Great mods, they improve the look and accuracy. Nice to see a proper North American-style fifth wheel. Most Italeri kits come with their European-style fifth wheel - incorrect for the US trucks.
  5. Welcome back, and what a great build to kick things off again. Very nice paint scheme.

    Mud Trap

Wow that’s an impressive dio. Extremely realistic. In my opinion, the most effective dioramas tell a story - often the simpler story, the better. This one does a great job.
  7. Excellent build. I like the color scheme and the treatment of the grille.
  8. Awesome job on creating a very unique version of the 4070a. I like it. I’m also curious what the “extended cab” was used for, as I’d call it. I’d like to think extra room for storage, but not practical with a cab that tilts, I’d imagine. Not much room for a bed, and not ideal anyway with all the windows. A couple folding jump seats for crew?
  9. What do you guys think about a 4x4 conversion for AMT/MPC’s line of GMT 400 kits? Accupro made one for that generation of trucks years ago, but it’s really hard to find. Front axle, suspension, transfer case, etc While at it, I’d like to put a plug in for an accurate, open, grille for the 1/25 82-86 F Series/Bronco. The MPC version is too shallow and lacking in detail.
  10. Fantastic! Looks every bit the part. Excellent scratch-building. Great finish.
  11. Nice to see them back. Thanks for the heads up.
  12. Hey, the sign says “No Parking”! But, I guess, with a car like that, we can let it slide… Excellent work on it! Impressive details. You’ve included the highest level of details of the mundane, everyday things like the ramp to the door and the AC condensation drain pipes - Things that generally go unnoticed in real life, finding their way to the diorama. I absolutely love the weathering, especially on the concrete and asphalt. Spectacular.
  13. True, I do spend most of my forum time hanging out with the big rigs, but I venture out from time to time. Looking forward to seeing your Rat Rig in the future.
  14. I hadn’t checked out detail junkies in a long time. Thanks for the reminder. They have a lot of new items since I last visited their site.
  15. I’m thinking about ordering one, myself. Did you order the chassis too? Tires? Speaking of the tires, I find A&R’s choice to put steer tires on the rear a little odd, (maybe more of a European thing?) when A&R makes the perfect drive tires (they call them a heavy tread front, normal width) to complement their steers. While it’s possible to put all-position 315/80R22.5 tires all around, it’s not common. I don’t mean it as a complaint, so much as an observation. They’re a great company filling a void in the hobby, and doing it well. I have a few sets of their resin Michelin X works drive and steer 315s. They look awesome when painted with Tamiya rubber black and a little grey weathering powder on the sidewalls and black on the treads. Honestly, better looking than a lot of resin rubber ones.
  16. Works very well. I find the best dio bases are simple, yet realistically proportioned and detailed. Placing vehicles in their natural environment. Something that takes your eyes to the model. This does that well.
  17. Excellent finish, as always. Love the paint.
  18. Beautiful and classy. Love that shade of purple on it. Nice stretch.
  19. Excellent representation of a 90’s icon.
  20. Fantastic! I knew this was going to be a great build. I really like everything you’ve done to make it unique and look every bit the part. Excellent details, especially the pull straps on the doors and a can of Pepsi on the seat!
  21. It’ll be a fine kit, that’s for sure.
  22. Oh that’s it. I thought that might be what you mentioned. What an odd contraption. I guess it gives you a roomy cab. It looks strange, but in the same token, the modern wide-cab aero conventionals are not far removed from such a concept.
