  1. Forgot to mention how much I like the paint scheme. Beautiful! And those sleeper upgrades…both the exterior windows and the interior “addition”.
  2. Very cool. You don’t see a lot of expeditor builds on here, despite seeing them often on the road. Not common, though, is seeing one as classy as this truck.
  3. You’ve got some great outdoor shots, too. Nice angles making it a very realistic scene by combining the background with the base. Really cool when that works well.
  4. Wow, that’s a really pretty paint scheme.
  5. I like the bumper and visor upgrades on those 378s. I especially like the paint scheme on the blue and white one. Simple and classy.
  6. Love the old school headlights. Classy work, a great paint scheme.
  7. Well, that’s some impressive power under there, just try to keep it on the road with the shiny side up, and the greasy side down. Great build!
  8. That’s too bad. Sorry to see that. I hope it’s a clean break and you’re able to repair it ok.
  9. Nice! That’s a great-looking truck. I like the added details, especially those stack tips. Along with the sleeper, makes for a build that really stands out from the rest.
  10. Nice build, for sure. What blue is that? Looks exactly the part.
  11. Interesting. First time I’ve seen class 8 trucks in 1:18. Funny they mislabeled the listing as a W900, when it’s a Pete 359. But maybe the photos were swapped from another listing and they actually make a W9 as well. I agree, if they were in 1/25 or 1/24 I’d take a closer look. But, I also agree that it’s a different market, for the most part, being there are plastic kit builders and diecast collectors. Some do both, so there’s a little overlap. Myself, I have very few diecasts (outside of hot wheels), Maybe enough to count on one hand. The general stipulation being they must match the plastic kit scales, be of comparable detail, and usually be a subject not kitted. This eliminates most of them. Plus, I like building.
  12. Spectacular build! Truly impressive scratch building and detail. Great weathering. I’ve enjoyed watching it come together. Looks like it would stink up the room!
  13. Fantastic build! A 1:1 of that would be a whole lotta fun.
  14. I’m looking forward to it. It’s always a great show.
  15. Nice paint color, for sure. That era of the LTL 9000 has always been one of my favorite trucks.
  16. Excellent job. These long-term projects can be so very rewarding.
  17. Yes, great answers above, for sure. Tooling availability is key. But, with enough time, money and interest, modern tech has been able to bring back some kits that have been long dead through 3d scanning. Can’t say the most obscure projects will come to fruition, but some highly sought-after kits with partially or fully non-existent tooling may again see the light of day. The Ertl IH 4070a, for example. We thought we’d never see it again, and there it was.
  18. Yep, even with the “snap” 359, it’s best to glue it. And like it’s been posted above, CA (super) glue and the liquid solvent cements are best no matter which kit it is, they’ll make your building process go so much better. For clear parts, use canopy glue or Micro Krystal Klear.
  19. That may very well be true. I tried last night to look up the tape, but couldn’t find much. There was some on eBay, but none of the conspicuity tape. So, now I’m not sure where it can be found.
  20. Gofer Racing makes some generic decal sheets for trucking-related companies. Some may include municipality-type markings, at least coming them with the kit decals might give you what you need. For the conspicuity markings, I can be more specific: Line O Tape makes a 1/24 1/25 scale roll of exactly what you need. Self adhesive and a bonus, just like the real thing - reflective, too.
  21. That’s a cool detail. Even better as a functional one.
